UGH!! I have been watching a one way flight on Jet Blue from Orlando to Seattle for April 9,2011 for a few weeks now. (We already have our fare to Orlando with Alaska using points. ) It has always been 239.00 and I have checked daily to see if it has gone down. Well, today, it has gone up to a mere $508.00 one way!!!!!!!!! WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am shocked! what is happening that day to increase it by nearly double? I am so bummed! I should have just bought it and hoped for a lower fare credit! :( Sad day

Wow, that one heck of an increase...sorry this happened to you...all you can do now is hope that it goes back down..

I watch Jetblue for airfare daily. I'm still watching for a decent fare for Nov. 7th (yes this year) and still waiting. The fares often will drop between Tuesday and Thursday. Generally on Fridays and weekends they will go up again. It's way to early to worry now. In addition to the November watch, I'm watching fares for January and May too. I use Yapta to track the flights, so they have my back in case I don't catch a sale.

I agree with n2mm. Jet Blue fares always go up on the weekend. When looking at them I only buy on Tuesdays and Wednesday and maybe Thursdays.

What a shocker! So, if they eventually go down to the 200 plus fare, which to me is still quite high considering we are talking a one way, can I just purchase and then hope for a credit if the fares go down? I am still reeling from the 508 fare! OMG!! I literally thought I was seeing things! :rotfl: haha Thanks again!:)

Another option is to fly back from Tampa to Seattle. Alaska has a fare with 1 stop for $210 inc taxes. A lot of car rentals do not charge a drop fee when renting in one city and returning to another within the state of florida.

Personally I don't think that $280 is a bad fare for one-way MCO-SEA. From EWR I'm happy to get anything under $200 RT and even that is less distance than MCO-SEA one-way.
