I booked our flights for this coming Saturday the day Jet Blue extended their schedule months ago. At that time they were still advertising first bag free. Now I see on their website that they charge $20/$25 dollars for the first bag in our fare class.
Would we be grandfathered into the no fee category since that was the policy when we bought the tickets?
Thanks in Advance

Yes, customers who already booked travel prior to the implementation of the fees will not be subject to the new fare classifications.

Thank You for your quick reply. What do I need to prove we booked before the fee was imposed?

Only flights booked prior to some point in June are allowed that first bag free. Any flights booked after that date are subject to baggage fees. For instance....I booked my Dec flight, on JB, prior to June. I get a free checked bag. But, if I booked a flight in June, after the policy went into effect, I would have to pay for checked bags. Only those that had booked travel prior to the policy change date were grandfathered.

Nothing as it should be noted in your reservation. Basically those that booked before the bag fee increase will be grandfathered into the "Blue Plus" tier which allows one free bag.
