...that's the newest in T-shirts. In this week's PEOPLE magazine, they show "stars" such as Pamela Anderson, Ashton Kucher and Carmen Electra wearing these shirts. It has a picture of Jesus on it with the words "Jesus Is My Homeboy". :(

It wouldn't be so bad, except that the accompanying article says they are meant to be taken as "tongue in cheek", so these people are not making a religious statement. Seems it's just the "fashion of the moment".

They said they also have T-shirts that say "Mary Is My Homegirl".

Just another offensive fad. Remember when most celebrities were wearing crosses around their necks?

You gotta talk the talk AND walk the walk to impress The Man.

I do find it offensive. It's a too irreverent for me.

It's amusing...doesn't offend me.

Seems to be a trend amung the famous though. I've never seen them actually on a person, I don't think theres need for worry.

I've seen it on a few students that I know are religious. I imagine that some are out for fashion.

I don't find it offensive, I find it very :( .

Homeboy means friend. Why would anyone find this offensive?Do you know the peoples hearts who are wearing these shirts?Who are any of you to Judge others?

I'd have to agree with RMD on this one. I don't see why this is a big deal, personally.

Well, I suppose the concern is that it trivializes faith if the person wearing it is only doing it as a "trend".

One example would be when teens were wearing WWJD bracelets for What Would Jesus Do and then others wearing it claiming it represented We Want Jack Daniels (actually sort of clever IMO)

I have no problem whatsoever with a believer wearing such a shirt; I would never judge someone else's taste of style or worship.

If, however, someone is wearing a cross, or religious themed T-Shirt just for fashion well, to me that is offensive.

I'm sure some of the celebrities may be sincere and others are just wearing them because.

The real trick is to live your life in way that if someone sees you wearing it, they don't have to question your intentions ;)

I don't find it offensive at all.
Then again, I also really enjoyed the movie "Dogma"

Well..... I do hear a lot of those celebrities utter His name in interviews and as movie lines....... but I don't think they were offering up prayers of praise when they were doing so......

I agree:
You gotta talk the talk AND walk the walk to impress The Man.

He knows for what reasons things are done! He'll be the judge of that!
