Did you see Moana..? Planning on trying for the matinee so we can pack in the evening but folks were making it sound like passengers are seeing it twice so I doubt it will be chill like I was hoping... ^^;All 3 productions had 3 showings. The normal ones at 6/8:30 but also a 2 or 3 pm matinee
I find it crazy that they have Moana scheduled for both the CC day and the very last night when cruisers need to be packing. Maybe that was strategic on DCL's part to try to make it inconvenient?
When I did the Treasure in early Feb I went to the early evening Moana showing (opposite main dining). I walked in 30 minutes before showtime and easily got a seat in the balcony. I was alone, but there were several open seats around me.Did you see Moana..? That’s also why Castaway Cay is nearly always scheduled for the last full day. For Caribbean cruises it’s also logistics, but for the 3 and 4 nights it’s a choice. Its about the Disney strategy of leaving a lasting memory at the end. The "kiss good night" as Walt said.
Moana is the headline show so they save it for the very end so you remember it fondly and makes you want to come back.
Its the same reason they put so much money and effort into their end of night spectaculars in the parks.
I get why they do that, but I hate Castaway on the last day. I much prefer a sea day, everything feels rushed when CC is on the last day . . .That’s also why Castaway Cay is nearly always scheduled for the last full day. That’s why the EBTA has such a great itinerary.I am thrilled to be in port at CC until 6 pm! No rush back to the ship!
Agreed! I feel like I would leave a trip feeling more wowed if I was able to spend the last day and night leisurely trying to do all the things around the ship that I didn't have time to do earlier in the trip.I get why they do that, but I hate Castaway on the last day. All my non Port Canaveral itineraries had that: Alaska, Med, Norway, Panama Canal. So much more relaxed.Agreed!
