I fail to see the humor. Mocking (even in jest) someone's religion is really in poor taste.
I'm sure an anti-semitic or I hate homosexuals would go over real well even if I covered it with the tongue in cheek line.

Where is hate mentoned anywhere in the ttle of my thread or my posts? And exactly where is the mocking?

I simply don't get it..This is where you tell how Jesus changed your life,or how he is currently changing your life..What exactly is offensive about the title?
No one can comeinto the thread and claim they did not know what the topic was,or that the thread had been hijacked or that they are being unwelcomely witnessed too.

And it's not just about me..There are osters who are genuinely curious about Christianity, Judaism etc. Jimmie has posted that he gets PM's with questions ,so clearly there are people interrested in other peoples relgous beleifs.

I know you always listen to both sides -- even if you stand on one and I know you are Jewish so I thought it was funny.

I think Jesus can take it... he's taken worse and Jenny won't care if people come here and post what they think... after all she invited them.


As for myself. I am upset because someone told me this morning that while I was sleeping Jesus came back... and I missed it! That means I musta missed the Rapture too, and that really bums me out. I really didnt' want to be around for that post trib stuff!

You have got it...Seriously..I have no qualms with people discussing their religion ,their experiences there beliefs etc.. This gives people a chance to do that ,but people who don't want to read it won't have too...i mean the title is a dead giveaway to the content...The Born Again Christian thread is just for born again Christians...Non-Christians can post here if they so choose

Sounds more like segregation to me - Christians post here so I don't have deal with you. Sorry but I think the DIS board is like life, you find a little bit of everything in every thread. I don't mind reading the experiences, their beliefs any more than I mind reading about other peoples experiences and beliefs about anything. When I come across a post from a poster I don't really agree with I skip it, if the thread goes south I close it. If it really is bothering you so much that you feel you must create a post to keep them from imposing on your world then maybe something else is going on.

I'm guessing the point of this is that there are several Christians on this board who cannot have a discussion/debate about faith without trying to convert others. (Granted, there are many other Christians who seem completely capable of having a conversation without witnessing.)

Now, this is just a guess, but perhaps Jenny was just tired of not being able to have an even-handed discussion about religion and so she decided to create a thread to divert some of the prostyletizing that seems to occur in EVERY discussion about religion on this board...

I didn't see how she was mocking anybody, but I did detect a bit of frustration in her tone...not that I blame her.
