Now, I've watched the show "Newlyweds" and I have heard some of her not-so-intelligent comments. From her behavior on the show, I find her whiny and spoiled, but I figured that television editing could be making her appear dumber than she is. We all say stupid things every now and then and I'm sure they just put hers on TV.
After watching Leno last night, I can honestly say that she is possibly the dumbest person in the world. When she met the Secretary of the Interior at the White House, she said "Wow, this place looks great". She thought that Secretary of Interior meant of Interior Design ?!?! I just kept saying "You've got to be kidding me" repeatedly to myself. The entire conversation (if you want to call it that) with Jay was full of random and non-coherent comments. Then when asked if she would like to live in Cincy if Nick became mayor there, she quicky replied "No" with a disgusted look. Apparently, our area of the country isn't quite good enough for the princess.
This girl has no brains, manners, or cares for anyone but herself. I am so appalled that young girls look up to her. Yes girls, please rely only on your looks, education and common sense mean nothing! Be selfish and spoiled, and please, whine whenever possible!

She is very rude.My friend is a chicago radio DJ and she met her back in 2000 when starting out and my friend not really knowing her asked her who she was there to see and she made a big stink about how SHE is Jessica Simpson. My friend was like big hairy deal. She came to work the next day saying she is the rudiest big headest person in the world.

Yes, the airhead thing is bad, really bad. Last night she was telling her own "airhead moment" stories, like she's proud of it.

But that wasn't even what I was referring to. I was appalled by the singing. It was borderline hilarious! The faces she was making... and the "woo woo woo." Get a grip! And man, I never thought she was cute, but she's verging on ugly when she sings. I never noticed that big honking bump in her nose until lat night. (Not that I don't have one, but I haven't become famous for my "looks" either.) Of course I've never paid much attention to her. I'm going to go back to doing that.

I love the show, you know why, when I see her without makeup I realize that even I could look like a movie star given the proper hairstylist and makeup artist And she makes me, a blond too who has many blond moments throughout each day, look like a genius on a regular basis. I love watching it just to try and figure out why Nick is with her.

I think she has some talent when she sticks to what she is good at and doesn't try to be Brittany.

I think that is what happens when you rely on your looks and singing and ignore getting an education. Her parents probably figured - who cares, she will make a living singing. I have such respect for hollywood types who continue their education - such as Jody Foster, Brooke Shields, etc. I used to think her dumbness just had, had, had to be an act, but I'm having second thoughts.

I watched her show one night while they were recording and honestly between the two of them, I couldn't tell what key they were supposed to be in.

I think she is beautiful makeup or no makeup. I think she has a gorgeous voice especially if the song is in her vocal range.
She is dumb as a rock and I believe that comes from her parents. They aren't the brightest bulbs in the pack either. A recent episode has Jess and her Mother both trying to figure out why bratwurst is white. The Mother may be even dumber than the daughter...

Here's a "Jessica moment" - I watched one of those "behind the music" type shows where she was describing herself in high school.

"I had the biggest boobs in the whole school."

What does that tell you? Besides her bra size.

I'm not sure about Jessica. One thing for sure is that she is a spoiled brat beyond belief. My friend and i are big fans of Newlyweds and laughed our butts off when Jessica cried about her hair stylist being out of town when she really needed him. Oh pooey! She IS an airhead and a baby. It's sort of sad how she is a celeb NOW that she has a tv show when she originally started out as a singer. However, I do respect her because she is a hard worker (I watched Driven on VH1 and believed it was all genuine) and she respects herself and her morals. I do not like how all she seems to want to do is shop and spend lots of money.

I feel bad for Nick! He doesn't get half the credit he deserves for 1) having a ditzy wife 2) having the talent he does. Even though he's from a boyband, he has a great singing voice. 3) Being a respectable human being who has been involved with show business. He doesn't live it up like a person made of money. And i'm sure him and Jessica don't have TONS of money, but they live comfortably. Anyway, he's happy with out all of it, i would think.

I like her, I think as another poster said, she just proves that noone is perfect. I think she has a good voice, and she is actually shown lounging around in sweatpants with messy hair and no makeup-which many stars would die before doing.
If you don't like her, it's this easy: Don't watch. She is an entertainer-and I'm positive that much of the "dumb blonde" thing is an act. Sure she makes stupid mistakes about obvious things, but who hasn't done that? (I do it plenty!)
Just keep that in mine-entertainer-take her with a grain of salt, it's just as easy as changing the channel.
