*Jessica & Jared* 06/17/08>Wedding PJ< *We're Back & Married!*

I really like everything you've done so far! How did you make the newletters? They look amazing!!

I am getting a little nervous. I have my final dress fitting on Saturday and I am hoping I still fit into my dress. When I bought it back in October, I told myself "oh, by March I can lose at little weight and tone the areas I am a little self-conscious about"... that did not happen. I am praying I don't get to the fitting and find my dress is a little snug.

Also, I finally decided on my wedding shoes and I ordered them. They arrived last week and I am anxious to see how they look with the dress on Saturday. I was originally going to go with the little silk slippers, but the wedding dress seamstress told me if I found a shoe with a little bit of a heel, the dress would not have to be altered length-wise. So, I can't wait to see how the new shoes work. I do love the shoes though. They are the basic clear shoes that look like Cinderella's glass slippers. They are also going to put the bustle into my dress… I can’t wait to see how that will turn out.

The days are ticking away. I am getting more anxious by the day. I live in the mid-west and our winter weather has been crazy this year. I am a school teacher and have been overwhelmed with snow days, including today. I am ready for Florida and warm weather.

Wow Jessica - All of your plans sound great! It sounds like we will be at WDW at the same time - We will be getting there on June 24th and my VR is on June 26th!

I love all your plans so far. Your dress is beautiful. We used Tim Herring for our wedding almost 3 years ago. He's so great. I love all this wedding stuff. I really miss it so much. Having a Disney wedding is amazing. You're going to be so happy you did it. Good luck and I can't wait to read more.:)

So, I had a blonde moment this weekend. I had originally posted that I was going to have my dress fitting this Saturday (yesterday, March 8). All day Friday I was anticipating a call from David’s Bridal to confirm my appointment for Saturday. They usually call the day before an appointment to confirm. After school I was telling my fellow teachers about my fitting the next day and they wanted to join me, but I told them David’s Bridal had not called yet. So I picked up the phone and called David’s myself to confirm. When I spoke to the very nice lady on the phone, she told me she did not have me down for an appointment on that day. That is when I started to panic. A million things started to run through my mind: Did the ditzy lady that made the appointment for me in October fail to write it down? Did I miss my appointment? Was it supposed to be last weekend? I couldn’t even imagine! Well, the lady then asked me when my wedding date was and then she looked it up. She found my name on an appointment for next Saturday (March 15). I have no idea why March 8th had been in my mind for five months, but I wasn’t surprise. I ended up being the ditzy one after all. Total blonde moment! :rotfl: So, I will be waiting one more week for my fitting! :hourglass Next Saturday, March 15, I will be having my fitting with my shoes and everything. Originally they told me that if I found a shoe with a little bit of a heel, they wouldn’t have to alter its length. I am hoping the only thing they will have to do to my dress is put the bustle in.

By the way… Here is a picture of my shoes! I was a little nervous about how cheesy they would look, but when I put them on I loved them. I could not resist the Cinderella look. I will just have to make sure and get a great pedicure before the wedding, since my toes will definitely show through the shoes.

I also finally received my wedding band. DH and I ordered the band a few weeks ago and I pick it up last week. I have a small, marquise solitaire for my engagement ring, so the wedding band I picked out accents it very well. I have small hands, so a big fancy ring is not for me. Small and traditional is my style. You will have to imagine the rings together until I take a picture of my rings. The only pictures I could find online where with the rings separated. I promise I will post a picture of the real rings soon.

I know this is not Disney related, but I just had to post about it. It kind of goes along with the pre-wedding activities. Months ago I was trying to think of something fun that my sister, my mom, and I could do for some togetherness before I get married off. One morning I was listening to the radio and they announced that Michael Buble would be coming to the St. Louis area in March. Then it hit me! All three of us love Michael Buble  and my sister lives in St. Louis, about three hours from where my mom and I live in Springfield, MO. So, I thought it would be perfect if we could go. I bought the tickets and surprise them with them on Christmas day. :santa: We had been counting down the days to the concert for months. This week was the big event. I got a substitute teacher and took the day off, so my mom and I drove up to St. Louis and stayed with my sister. :drive: We went to the concert on Wednesday, March 5 and it was amazing. Micheal Buble is an amazing performer. It was also a very special event for us girls too. My mom said that this would probably be the last big event that we all do togther until my wedding, which was kind of sad. But that was what I was planning for when I arranged it. Here are some picture from the concert for all of you Buble fans. If you are not a Michael Buble fan or have never heard of him... go right now and buy his CD. He is amazing!

Here is an actual picture of my engagement ring and wedding band together. I know it is not as fancy as some of the beautiful rings I have seen on the post, but it is perfect for me. Simple, small, and traditional... that's me!

It looks good on you too! Though it's such an awesome dress I'm not sure anyone could look bad in it! :thumbsup2

Ok… so the stress of the destination wedding is starting to hit me. I have been lucky so far not to have too many worries, but now I am starting to feel it. So, since I am only having an escape wedding I only have 18 guests coming to the wedding. The list includes: my mom, my step-dad, my dad, my step-mother, my little sister, my big sister and her husband, my two close friends, my aunt, uncle and cousin, my DH’s mother, DH’s sister, brother-in-law, and nephew, DH’s father and step-mother. Now I originally left it up to them to find their own transportation to and from Disney, but of course I told them I could assist with the booking process if needed. Most of my side of the family is flying into Orlando’s smaller airport, Orlando-Sanford Airport. This airport is a little farther from Disney, but the airfare is cheap. Now my step-mother has requested that I need to find a good deal for her, my dad, and my little sister’s transportation from the airport to the Disney resort… and that was fine. I have researched and researched, but can’t find a service under one hundred dollars one way. I wanted to just book a shuttle service that could hold up to 10 people and it would be cheaper for all to ride together from the airport, since they will all be going to the same Disney resort, but I can predict my step-mother not wanting do that. But, maybe I am just worrying for nothing!
