In 2005 I took the written audition test for Jeopardy. Last year when they started doing online tests for pre-screening they wouldn't let me take it because evidently I had taken the written test too recently. Finally they are offering another Online test this January 23-25 and it has been long enough that I can take it again.

Anyone else taking it?

If you have taken the online test in the past, I assume it is like the written test, only typed answers instead of written?

DH took it last year and said it was very hard but he's taking it again this year. He said you have no idea how you do because they don't give you results.

They don't give you results at the written exams, either. They just announce the people that passed and for everyone else they say to tell everyone you missed it by one question. :lmao: (I know I missed that darn question from "Southeast Asian Sacred Poetry")

Of the 75 or so people in my exam group, three people passed.

(For those that don't know, the Jeopardy exam is 50 questions from all different categories, no duplicates, and each question is of Final Jeopardy level difficulty.)

I was in the same boat as you, had taken (and not passed) the written test in person when the online version first was offered. I haven't looked lately to see if I'm eligible, but I don't know if I'll do the online one anytime soon.

I didn't know you could do that! I'll have to take it. Then I can feel REALLY smart. :lmao:

I took the online test the last time it was offered...I wish they would give you the results.

When watching the show I can usually answer a fair amount of the questions, but the test, wow, I started thinking "man, I'm stupid". My kids got a kick out of it though!

But, glutton for punishment that I am, I am going to do it again!

Maybe the questions will involve The Wizard of Oz! or better yet, Disney

I think we'd all feel that way if every question on the show was as tough as the exam questions... I think most shows would end with nobody in Final Jeopardy because everyone would be negative! Or else, someone would get a couple correct and put their buzzer down for the rest of the show just to be safe, lol. :lmao:

Thanks about the info!! I signed up to take it...probably will wish that I hadn't, sounds the the questions are tough tough tough, but might be kinda fun just to see what it is all about.

I took the online test last time it was offered and was invited to take the in-person interview a few months later. We took another test, which was similar to the online one and then did an interview and mock game with the buzzers. It hasn't been a year, so I am not eligible to take it again this time.

How long did it take for the call-back to do the mock game/interview, etc? I know when they score the written test it only took about 15 minutes to score all 75ish tests, which I thought was pretty darn amazing since it is a written answer, not multiple choice or anything.

I took the online test when it was first offered and I was darn suprised at how HARD it was. Maybe I just got a doozie but it was much worse than I was expecting.

I'm well-educated, well-read, and usually very successful at general-knowledge games. I expected it to be challenging, but I didn't expect it to make me want to curl up in the fetal position!
