Thanks Kim--and thanks for letting me call and meltdown the last couple of days!

I guess i should update here--we found out yestserday that my grandpa has some form of cancer and the prognosis doesnt look good--we will hopefully fnd out more today or tomorrow

Well, we just got an update on grandpa--the oncologist called my mom and said they are still waiting on 2 more tests to come back, but it is either a) primary liver cancer b) cancer of the bile duct c) cancer that originated soemwhere else and spread to the liver.

Either way, our options are not good...The first two basically dont respond well to treatment, but she said she can try chemo or radiation or both to see if it helps. The third one is bad because they cant find where it originated from..and since it would already have spread, theres not much they can do.

So basically we wait til tomorrow to see what it definitely is..but its one of those situatinos that none of the options look good--Just wanted to keep you all informed


Beth-my dad is doing okay--still sore, but improving every day

Hi everyone-
just wanted to say thank you--its been nice coming here and venting when i have my meltdowns (and calling you kim--thank you!)

We're hangng n there and wll hopefully fnd out the "game plan" today--gpa wll have to decde if he will do any treatment--
I just hate cancer--its not fair--2 aunts have died, then there was Alyssa, then mom was diagnosed and now this--i just cant take it anymore..ugh!

As far as me--i guess do need to try to take care of myself--thanks guys

Sweetie, it is very important to take extra special, good care of yourself during a stressful time. Don't forget that your immune system can be weakened by stress. You don't want to get sick on top of all that you are already going through.

If you need anything, please let us know. We're praying for your grandpa and your whole family.

Hi everyone

My grandpa is home and we are awaiting his doctor's appointment on Tuesday--we will hopefully have some more answers then--the waiting is killing me!

My dad is doing okay--hes still in a lot of pain and will be going to the dr tomorrow.

Im headed back to work tomorrow--im looking forward to gettinig back into a routine---keep me busy and get the money coming in

Im trying to take care of myself--i know worrying constantly isnt helping anyone...But i have a hard time motivating myself--i had no plans all weekend so i sat home in pjs...stupid move, i know
