New castle! took a little bit of both. What do we think?

Oh no, I missed a lot!

I love the castle drawing! It is so awesome you are incorporating your creativity into your wedding! The flower girl necklace is so adorable, I really want one for myself :rotfl: (but seriously, it is awesome). Your cat is adorable, it looks like mine, and uh, I now NEED to have a cat taco toy. I also love your inspiration board....it's so much easier to grasp how things will look when they are all put together!

Awesome sketches!! I love the final one!

AND PS SUPER CUTE KITTY
Thanks deary. She now is very excited about her stardom with you ladies!

Thanks sweets. I will hopefully have a test run of how it looks as an etching tomorrow! (I have class! Bad student!) When I get home i'll send you the link to the necklace's website. she is a local girl (to me!) and it suupppper sweet. she even said she would meet up with me to make sure I like everything!

I wish I had a card or website for the woman who made the taco. but i don't! My cat is obsessed. I wasn't going to do a board but my brian couldn't get a handle on what it would look like. so yay board! Though it has confused me with the flowers because i'm not sure if they look good? guess thats the point of the board!

So DF LOVES to confuse me!

Recently he has "mentioned" weird things about what i'm wearing for the wedding. Like when I was looking at BM jewelry at a fair he said I would like it if you wore some color. He also was joking about the wedding wears and said I should wear those as my veil. Which I was like "what veil!?" Also while I was catching up on Pj he saw these earrings

and was like those are really pretty!

now I don't know how your DFs are but mine doesn’t really have an opinion about this wedding. So these little....mentions sparked a light bulb.

so now I have to think about a Veil, colored necklace and dangly earrings. Which really is the color necklace OR the dangly earrings. Now I have been looking at earrings like this until he was like colored necklace! MEN

and I don't know about a veil....i'm so back and forth. I think when my mom comes I will curl my hair and when we go shopping for her try on some veils, tiaras and clips. Hopefully that will solve the problem. I should also try and find a lace tube top of some sort so I can really get an idea!

The new castle looks great! I know what you mean, my DF is not very interested in most of the wedding details either. He just wants it to look nice, but whatever I want is fine. As he says, it's really my opinion that matters. Smart boy!

I'm not crazy about veils either, but I feel like they are traditional and look nice during the ceremony. I liked the one you picked, but you should go try some in person to get an idea of the length and style you want. I'm pretty short so the fingertip length was too overwhelming on me, but I wouldn't have known that without trying some first. The Ebay prices are great though, so I would probably order from them since you won't be wearing the veil that much.

Yep I think most men understand that it isn't worth opening their mouth. :rotfl:

Yeah I think that is what I will do. I have going with my mom dress shopping for her and the BM so I can run around trying random accessories on! hehe.

oh so I mentioned this but didn't post it! SO at the Craft fair this weekend one of the sellers had a necklace that I really liked but I couldn't find a picture when I got home. so here it is.

It would be this but with a smaller pale yellow stone. she is on the search for it. what do we think?

not sure which way i'd wear it guess it depends on the length with the dress

all the way.

Are they too....home made? Like do they look cheap? I am planning on using yellow card stock, a navy sparkly paper and a pale blue paper. There will be some sort of design printed with the words I haven't decided yet.

Please opinons welcome!!!

Are they that bad that I got no comments? Or has everyone been crazy busy?

so haven't been up to too much. Waiting for mommy to come next! There MIGHT be a problem with the invite paper I was planning on buying....it might not take well to the etching. which kind of gave me a heart attack. I have to wait til friday to try it :(

Hoping to get some stuff done today. But it might just end up being clean the apartment! boo

The new castle looks great!

That necklace is gorgeous. It will look nice with your dress. As far as the veil goes, I say wear what ever you feel comfortable with, not what he wants you to where.

I think the invites are a good start and will look better in the colors they are meant to be. I like the idea of etching the castle, maybe if the paper you wanted won't work, you can still use the paper for the pocket and do the etching on a different paper and attach it to the pocket. :confused3

hey hun! thanks! I etched it into its plate yesterday! was very fun. Thanks I love the necklace! Do you think I should keep it will the clear? I have been thinking about that and I do like it as is. I am hopefully going to try on veils. I'm still not sure.

That is exactly what my teacher said. DF didn't like that idea much BUT if the paper doesn't play nice we don't have much choice. Unless we make the invites with the right paper and that would be PRICEY! so We will see! I will know if it works or not on friday so I will either be super happy or super sad! haha. I'm sure I can make them look nice if I had to attach the etching some how.

Or if the etching doesn't work, which I hope it does because it would look awesome, you could stamp it on with a linoleum block. That way you could still use your paper. :)

Love the necklace too! :goodvibes

The necklace is beautiful! I like it both ways, that's a hard decision to make on how to wear it.

I agree, it's a good start but I think you need to do a mock-up with the actual materials to get a better idea. I'm really bad at visualizing these things. I'm not sure where you're getting materials from but at cards and pockets you can get samples just so you can get a better idea.

Thanks dear. I do hope the etching works *** I already etched the plate (which took all yesterday...) and all I have to do it put it in the acid now. so fingers crossed! so if it doesn't work, I will have to try lots of other options. so thanks for the advice!

Yea, I will have to get it and try it on with the dress in December. I will take pictures and maybe you ladies can help me decide!

I am hand making the pockets from cardstock. I have considered cards and pockets but I don't like the way they close (the half cover?) because I can't print on that. so as of now I am hand making everything. Those were just a mock up so my DF didn't keep going "HUH? what are you doing?" hehe. I am going to call the paper store and see if there is anyway I can get samples so I can mock up with the real paper. Thanks hun

It will definitely depend on how it looks with the dress, but they are two beautiful options to have :goodvibes.

Yeah, all of theirs are the half fold front. Even if you don't use them, if your place can't give you samples, you can order cardstock samples and invitation mats from them so you can put a mock-up together. It makes such a difference to be able to see it in the real materials. Lol, yeah I do things to show DF too, but he still doesn't really get it most of the time, I'm still trying to explain to him why we needed the cricut! :lmao:

Yeah. I will have to see. Why are DFs so clueless about wedding stuff? silly men

I love that last necklace you posted!! Very pretty!

Have you checked out cards and pockets? We are doing about 40 invites for less than $100. We got the supplies from them and are cutting them ourselves and printing on a home printer. I like the castle though!

Thanks dear. Cards and pockets is def an option. I just have it in my silly head that i need to make them. which is a bit silly. but this is how i am. haha. It is my back up plan! My mom might come this weekend and convince me that I should buy them. we will see! haha.

But you would still be making them. We bought the pockets pre-made...but thats it. There is still lots of cutting and glueing and don't forget the design (my moh did that for me). It's still hand-made...you just are having someone else get you started :rotfl:
