We are considering going to Jellyrolls after IllumiNations one evening during our April trip. We probably wouldn't get there until 10 PM and would stay 1-2 hours. How would we get back to the Contemporary from there?

Thanks.

There are 2 primary ways to get to the CR. You could take a bus from the Boardwalk area to DTD and change to a bus for the CR. Or you could take a cab directly to the resort. I do not know the actual fare for this ride, but most cab fares are in the $12 - $20 range.
Taking a cab would be much easier and quicker.

Either by getting cab at one of the resorts or a bus at the resort to DTD then to your hotel.

From WL to BW was $16 a few weeks ago. Definately the way to go. Jellyrolls is so much fun!! I did the bus swap thing one night and it took well over an hour almost an hour and a half to go from BW to DTD to WL. Take the cab. Jellyrolls is a must every trip for me!

Bus service at 12:00am may be a little iffy. You'd better plan on a $15 cab ride to be safe.

If the busses are there, it would be a bonus.

We got stranded at boardwalk in April of 2005. At 11:30pm, and had to Cab it. All the parks were closed at 9:00pm or earlier.

We went to Jellyrolls in March and we were staying at All Star Movies. To get back, we took a bus to Downtown Disney and then took another bus to the hotel. I'm pretty sure you can get a bus to any Disney Resort in Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island.

Better yet, change your reservation from the CR to the Boardwalk, Beach or Yacht Clubs, Swan or Dolphin! :flower:

Thanks for the suggestion, but I doubt my sister (traveling partner) would want to change our reservations just to accomodate one night at Jellyrolls (which is a maybe). I assume I'm talking to an Epcot resort-area lover! ;)

Yup, as long as you catch a bus to PI around midnight, you can transfer from PI to your resort. I did this twice and learned my lesson the 3rd time. I took a cab from BW to POP and it cost only $6!!! With tip, I paid $10! I wish now that I had just done the cab thing the first time instead of watching the clock and wasting about 1.5 hours bus-ing it to and fro.

Enjoy Jellyrolls! It's a great time

The last bus leaves DTD exactly at 2:00 AM. So if you are not at the PI bus stop by then you are taking a cab back from PI. We visit JR atleast twice every visit. We stay at OKW. If we leave JR by 1:20 we make it back on time. Lots of times, if we are the only ones on the bus from BW to DTD, the driver will take us to OKW instead of going to DTD. Doubt if they would go to the CR because of the distance, by t OKW is on the way to PI.

You can find deals as low as $14/day. DW & I have tried using the Disney busses to park hop, and later decided it was way faster, much easier, and far more comfortable to drive ourselves around.

At first it may look like an additional expense, but if you really examine freedom and flexibility that a vehicle afford you, it could actually save you money (or at least the savings could offset the cost of the rental).
