We are going to HS and hoping to get into Jedi Training, this will be our first attempt and to be honest it has me very nervous. Of course the day we are going is a EMH morning at 7am so we are planning to be at the park gates by 6:30 (just my 5yos and myself, everyone else will meet up later). My question is, do I bite the bullet and purchase MM ahead and save the extra money or wait to see if we get in? This trip is really a beach trip, so we will only be at WDW for about 36 hours and only going to HS. I must add that I'm a huge photo lover and scrapbooker....I realize if I end up purchasing individual photos it will add up quickly.

I'm not sure if its worth the price for your trip or not, that's your decision to make. I would be hard pressed to pay the premium for it unless you really want to take advantage of ride photos etc.

That said, our Memory Maker pics for JTA were superb. We used about 80% of our MM pics for our scrapbook over the ones we took, and gave us the freedom to video my DS during the show. MM had better quality shots over our cell phone pics too as a whole.

You do not need to pre-purchase Memory Maker. The Photopass Photog will give you a Photopass card that links to all the photos from your child's session and there are also stock photos of the JTA cast included.

If you like more than a few photos, you can always add MM maker at that time or just pay for the few photos that you like.

Am I correct, The memory maker is $169 ahead of time but $199 if added after my trip? Also is the MM the only way to get the downloads or can you purchase downloads from the DPP?

Yes, it's $30 less and you need to pre-purchase three or more days before your park visit.

You can still buy the Photo CD if you don't have Memory Maker.

If you are only thinking you need it because of JTA, I think you should wait. My DD is an onstage JTA performer and a lot of little kids do have a hard time once the show begins... some leave due to fright and some leave due to stage puddle accidents. I would hate to see you invest $$ in something that isn't a sure thing.
