Jedi training, what are my chances?

Do the spots fill up right away? If we do not make it there at opening, do we have any chance of getting a spot? I'm looking at Wednesday 11/16. I got great FP times for Toy Story, Frozen Sing Along, and Star Tours. The night before, we will be at MVMCP so I don't want to drag the kids to HS first thing. My other option is to do HS on Thursday 11/17 but I could only get Toy Story at 3:45 and that is really late for us if we will be there at park opening. DS is dying to do Jedi training though. What to do?

spots fill up within 2 to 3 hours of park opening. They do have a waitlist in case a kid doesn't show up then the first kid on the list take his place but you have to go back to the sign up area for each show to see if your kid made it.

We were at the gate at 8:30 yesterdy,11/7, and they left everyone in at 8:45. We went right to Jedi Training and waited an hour to sign up. By 9:30 they were turning people away. They went through the line counting the number of kids. By the time we got there they were taking kids for the 2 o'clock shows.

This is really helpful. We're going to aim for Thursday I think. I was able to move TS a little earlier so that helps.

We did it an EMH morning in Feb, arrived at the park 25 minutes-ish before scheduled open, and it was more crowded than I expected. They let us in a few minutes early, we still had a 15-20 minute wait to sign up. It was a competitive speed walk race back to the Indiana Jones Outpost that morning. Not sure if it was funny or sad.

We just did Jedi Training today. We got through security and into line by 8:10. They started letting everyone in at 8:45. We made the mad dash and waited in line for an hour. The first available slot was the 1:10 show. We ended up doing the 2:10 show because of fast pass issues.

I do have to say it was totally worth the mad rush and standing in line just to see my son's face while he was fighting Darth Vader.

We got there on 11/8 just before nine opening and by the time we got to sign ups at 9:04 they were done.

Does anyone know if they are still letting you sign up early if you have an early ADR? Last spring we had an 8:10 AM H&V breakfast and signed up for the show before breakfast. No one was there, we had our pick of shows.

From what has been posted lately, more often than not, this is still in effect. I have read of one experience on one particular day where it was not allowed. Every other report has been that it was allowed.
