Jedi Training - saw this post? What?

Making my usual internet & blog rounds this morning and saw this answer posted on the Mom's panel - I never read this information here!!!! And, am I not supposed to go LEFT, not right???

"Hi! In order to sign up for Jedi Training Academy at HS, I read answers on the Moms Panel that said it is possible to sign up at 7:45 on a day the park opens at 8:00. How do you get in early to sign up? Is there a special gate, or alternate early location?

Thanks for asking this awesome question! Yes, it is possible to sign up for Jedi Training Academy 15 minutes prior to Hollywood Studios park opening. Just let a Cast Member at the gate know that you are there to register for the Academy, and they should be able to let you in early. I tend to go to the entrance all the way to the right, as most Guests forget that there is an actual entrance there!"

I don't know the correct answer, but unfortunately, the Mom's Panel answers are often incorrect.

Well, it is often possible to get in early, but every experience I've read it's because the park opened before "opening", not because a CM let someone in. I've gotten lots of good advice from the moms panel, but those are answers from just one person. I'd hang out here and see if anyone in the DIS readership confirms that. It's been nearly a year since I started planning hard for my oct '14 trip and I was scouring every blog or post I could find for many details including JTA sign-ups and this is the first I've heard of any early entry through a right gate.

I think it depends on the time. When we were there 2 weeks ago we signed up by the ticket window. They had a CM walking around with a sign directing people were to sign up.

That turned out to be a one-day "test." Sign-ups have returned to the usual Sounds Dangerous location.

I don't understand the point of the Mom's Panel when it's right maybe 50% of the time. Apparently they don't have editors?
