Jedi training - help?

We are Disney novices and I really just want to make sure I can sign my kids up for this. We will be at Hollywood Studios on November 4 (after the super early mornings end for SWGE). We have breakfast reservations at 8:45 in the park.

So... what time can I enter the park? (rope drop is 9am right)?
Can we sign up earlier than our breakfast reservation time?

Is there any other way we can use the breakfast reservation to our advantage?

Thanks for any advice!

Enter the park as early as 8:00a through the touchpoints designated for Dining Reservation Guests.

Head to Jedi sign-ups and then head to breakfast. You’ll be seated as soon as you check-in.

The early breakfast isn’t much help for TSL or SWGE as you’ll be behind the rope drop crowd after you finish breakfast.

I assume you have reservations at Hollywood & Vine which is a buffet. If that’s correct then check in immediately after signing up for the Jedi training signup. They will likely seat you earlier than 8:45 giving you a chance to join the RD crowd...but likely not infront.

Go right to Jedi sign-ups as soon as you enter the park. I was able to go during EMH as guests entering the mark on a regular ticket were held up. It's past H & V on the left near Indiana Jones.

And truthfully, if you don't need a REALLY specific time for Jedi training, there is not nearly the rush to sign up that there used to be. The last 2 trips down, we didn't even go to sign the kids up until close to 11am, and on the last trip we had a late time that we decided to try and switch to an earlier time - they had PLENTY of open slots and got the kids into the next group.

I just posted this somewhere else, but I agree with a previous post. We did sign ups early, then my daughter (on a break) lost her magic band so we missed her time. We went back around 2:00 (her scheduled time but late show up) and we had absolutely no trouble getting her scheduled for a later show as well as my son who wasn't originally on the list.

During the pre-time of the show I heard several people come up and just sign their kids up for that particular show (maybe 20 minutes or so before).

I really don't know when the lack of interest started or whether it had to do with the new land, but it was NOT hard to get in. That said - we loved it and it was adorable, so I definitely recommend it!
