Jedi Training Academy Closing Sept 12?

if anything they really need some shelter from the sun in the current stage area, my nephews did the training in May and it was sweltering in the heat, the area offers very little in the way of shade.

We just did it today and I was kind of bummed that DS fought Darth maul instead of Darth Vader, so in the back of my mind I was thinking that's OK because next time he can fight Vader, so I hope they're nice t taking him out completely. But yeah the set up now isn't ideal. We were all dripping sweat afterwards. DS didn't even get to be on the stage, so I kind of wish we would have chosen an earlier time, but we wanted him to be able to watch a show before participating and had late breakfast reservations.

So wait it's now Darth Maul and its not even on the stage anymore? Or was that because you did a later show in the day?

Sometimes they run two groups at once...one on stage with Vader, one on the ground with Maul. Usually they only do this during crowded times, so I'm surprised they were doing it in September. But then again, maybe they're trying to allow as many people to experience it as possible before it closes.

Ahh ok..thanks! We'll be there on October 2nd so hopefully it'll be Vader.

My daughter has gone up against both. Maul is very...intense. I almost wanted to cry watching her fight him because he's super scary! LOL. But because of his intensity, they tend to stick the older/taller kids with him (my daughter was 6 at the time but is very tall, so I think they thought she was older than she is). But there are no guarantees. If they're both out, you get whoever they assign you to.

I love Darth Maul but can see how he'd be super scary! My 7 year old daughter hasn't seen any of the movies yet but she loves Darth Vader among some other characters. It's the second last day before the refurbishment so I'd be surprised if they both weren't there.

Maul is one of my four year olds favorite characters. He would choose him over Vader.

october 4 is about in 3 weeks from now..is it just me or.. Disney should really make a annoncement about that closing soon..I really don't think they gave a good customer service by not telling guests that are coming for that period..I mean.. If my trip was let's say october 2 to 6.. I would be very upset that Disney will not let me know in advance so that I could schedule my HS day on the october 3 to make JTA

So we will be there Oct. 5th! I showed my kids (ages 7 and 9), the videos online of it- hoping they wouldn't want to do it and then have to pick an earlier day in our trip to reschedule for it. Happily for me, they said- nope, we are good. Glad they won't have to miss anything they wanted to really do.

is it possible that they change the closing period.. Just look for september 27 that is less then 2 week and it sho no time available

Times are up through October 3rd now with the 4th being the first day with no times available.
