it would take something pretty special to fill the void if Vader left, perhaps its getting a makeover in time for the new movie? , maybe Kylo Ren will replace Vader? although it doesn't make sense to replace Vader with an unknown Big Bad

They said at D23 that it was going to be updated with a new character. I assume that means someone from the new movie or Rebels. The Inquisitor from Rebels seems pretty likely and is my first choice.

I have heard that CMs at DHS were telling people the early October date very recently.

The Inquisitor would be an interesting choice, although I think he lacks the presence of Vader, especially considering they killed him off at the end of the first season and replaced him with Vader for season 2. But either a Ahsoka, Kanan / STAR WARS REBELS makeover would make perfect sense.

Do you have any info on how long JTA would be temporarily shut down? We are going to be at DHS on Nov. 18th. I'm hoping if it does close on Oct. 4th that it won't be closed for more than a month...

We'll be there November 18th too! Hoping, along with you, that Jedi Training Academy will be open that day. Maybe our kids will train together!

My kids talk about this daily, we are dying to try the JTAi really hope it's an extremely short down time or not at all...and my son is only doing it to see Vader. There will be tears upon tears....and really what the point of going to the park? Now we will do star tours TSMM and leave what a shame.

I thought the announcement said a new character in addition to Vader? Guess we have to wait and see.

I hope he's right. JTA without Vader is just.... Not JTA, IMO. My daughter is 4 and has seen a little Star Wars. She's not ready to participate in JTA yet, but she's already said she wants to watch the show so she can see Darth Vader.

Totally as above (clearly I need to learn to quote properly). My son is so looking forward to doing this but only if it's Darth Vader. He's been talking about it over over a year now but since this announced rumour we haven't brought it up. The whole family will be gutted if it's not Darth, we don't even know who this Kylo Ren person is

I even made outfits hopefully we get lucky...I know who ren and the inquisitor are but I doubt we will bother. Darth Vader is my sons hero. Which, yes is a little scary lol

I can see them wanting to emphasize newer characters, but not having Vader just seems strange, unless he's going to have a meet and greet at the Launch Bay?

Right now when they do two groups they do Vader and Maul. I can certainly see them wanting to rotate in either someone from Rebels or from the new movie or both.

I could stomach Vader leaving JTA if there was a meet and greet readily available for everyone. I have a Disney Visa, so we are eligible for the meet and greet when it opens next year. Although I'm not sure if it's been confirmed it'll be a Vader meet and greet.
