Jeans - tall & thin

My 14yo DD is complaining her jeans are too short. The jeans she has now are from Pac/Sun and size 0 long. She might could wear a size 1 but we aren't sure if they would be longer. She's 5'8" but her height is in her legs so it makes it a little harder. Some of the other stores we tried didn't have jeans that were small but long enough.

Any suggestions on stores to try? We've tried many of the popular stores but Pac/Sun was all we could find that fit before. Is there anywhere that lets you buy by inseam? They have to be stylish, she's pretty picky.

I know her pain. I don't have as much trouble now because my waist is more in proportion to my height, but I still occasionally find great jeans that just do not have the length I need. It's frustrating. (btw, my 12 yo DD is in the same boat)

Have you tried Aeropostale? It's really tough because they just assume most people that height have a bigger waist. They are right, but the exceptions end up haing a really hard time finding jeans that fit.

Good luck, hopefully others will have some ideas I can use too, LOL

I'm 5'7 and wear Gap Bootcut in long. I usually walk off the bottoms. They make a slim fit or boy cut in long too.

Try Guess....pricey, but if she's fussy like my DD, she'll be very happy with the fit.

all the designer jeans like Seven's or Rock and Republic are all made super long. But you'll pay upwards of $150 a pair unless you can find some at a place like Marshall's. A 25 would likely fit her.

Gap does long sizing but since even the 'normal' size is too long for me I don't know if they would be long enough or if they run small enough in the waist.

As I sit here in total jealously lol!

1. hell tall and thin are two things I NEVER were LOL

2. I was shooping tonight, for pant to FIT correctly. I wear the current styles out there, but man the darn hip huggers just don't work on me. They do not come up far enough on my rear gosh, I am 5'2" and have a decent size butt... small waist, so the pants have like 7 inches of extra material in the back!! ARGGG!

3. I went to a store called H&M and the pants are for tall in there !! I scored a couple pairs that fit right maybe your DD will do well there... most of the pants in there are for tall!

My niece is 6' tall and very thin and we always bought jeans for her at Lerners.

and ALLOY

they both have jeans in longer lengths up to 34" if I remember correctly-- edited to add, Alloy's go to 37"!

Lerner (or New York & Co.). They sell short, medium and tall, from small sizes to 16.
