jeans at dinner?

I guess that is why everyone dresses in sweats the last night??

'Making fun.' Hmmm. Sounds very mature.

Hi, hope you're joking on this comment. The rest of the thread isn't exactly the height of adult maturity and quite frankly neither is saying that someone is "below you" for not dressing as nice as you want them to be. It is an entertaining thread though. :)

I was thinking a nice roomy muu muu would be great. No waist band! :rotfl:

I have my extra-stretchy pants packed & ready to be "put to the test"! Thank God for spandex!!!!!

Since so many dis-ers are interested in a European cruise, lets Really go European and make clothes entirely optional!!!!

Oh My Gosh :earseek: I would need a MUCH larger tube of sunblock!!!! :earseek:

I went on a european cruise once with a lot of women engaging in topless sunbathing.

Average age of the female doing so was 35.

Before any one gets excited, they were either 60 or 10. Neither of which should excite anyone!

Thank you for the laugh. I guess it would be nice if we all had your money to be cruising on a regular basis for 30 years, but unfortunatly many of us are "common folk" who really don't have that much free time to care or worry about what others are wearing.
No offense really I'm just kidding, but I couldn't resist...Would you be the commoners in the Catagory 1 suite!!

The way I see it I have to be a mature Dad 49 Weeks a year. When I am vacationing with the mouse I can act like a kid if I want. My goal is to continue to act like a kid long enough for my kids to take me on a cruise someday.

According to DCL jeans are fine, therefore a denim skirt (even if it wasn't fine before) is acceptable. That said, I'm pretty sure a denim skirt would have been allowed before they changed the rules as well. Despite the huge rift in people's opinions on jeans themselves, I'm not sure that anyone would object to a denim skirt.

This always confuses me. Women can wear a Denim skirt, Men can't wear Denim pants. Just doesn't seem right. The fashion police need to explain this to me...or maybe it's just my immature brain that cant process it...

Actually, as I have stated before in this and other attire threads, I believe men should be allowed to wear nice shorts to dinner. If women can wear cocktail dresses, why can men not wear nice shorts? It is the Tropics after all. No one has ever actually answered me on that one.

As for denim pants to dinner on DCL? Jeans are now permitted completely on all "Cruise Casual" nights (meaning not semi-formal/formal). If you read this entire thread however, you'd probably be terrified to try because you may be seated with someone who thinks you are automatically beneath them because you do.

:umbrella: <--- That is to help protect me from the flames about to erupt. :teeth:

I knew you didn't have a problem with it. I guess I should have stated that. The fashion police comment was not referred to you. I spent six months reading this forum before our cruise and was surprised with how people reacted to this. Like I said before, I actually dressed up every night and really didn't have a problem with it. I just don't want someone telling me how to dress when it fits within the Disney Policy...And from my observation; the masses are interested in the conversation of the table mates and not how they are dressed.
