Just noticed that Jaws is going down for rehab tommorrow until thanksgiving holiday according to one of the theme park websites, Screamscape

Park News - (9/14/05) The Orlando Sentinel reports that Universal Studios Florida will now only run the Jaws attraction on peak days and special events through the rest of the year. While I’m sure some of this is a cost savings measure, they say that it will also give the more time to perform some more lengthy maintenance projects on the older ride. They are expecting the ride to return to normal daily operations early next year, but they don’t have a date locked in yet. In the meantime it will close down starting this Thursday and not open again until the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Although its an old attraction its very much part of the florida experience and one of the main Icons for Universal. Shame I'll miss it this time.

That's a real shame - although DH won't think so - he hated it.

Thanks for this. Not too worried about Jaws being down but am wondering where I can find out what others are likely to be closed! We are off in 4 weeks! :cheer2:
Thanks

that ride is superb in the dark!
On HH Nights, it runs in the dark, a completly different ride!

Oh Great!! I love Jaws :0(

Is there anyway to find out what other rides will be closed at USF and IOA?

I used Sceamscape.com (theme park fansite)as they do a news update every 3 days or so. Most indepenent disney sites have a rehab section as do sites for Universal etc.

AFAIK, the rest of Universal is fine although some rides will be running reduced capacity during the day on off peak days. In IOA, all rides are ok with the exception of the Pteradon Flyers which appear to be closed for good and likely to make way for the first major rides expansion in IOA rumoured by many to be for 2007 a set of duelling flying coasters (nearest equivalent Air at Alton Towers). We will just have to wait and see what happens!

I thought Poseidon's Fury was closed at IOA at the moment too?
