Jawbone found in Aruba

I guess it's a mixed emotion, but when I heard the news today that a jawbone was found in Aruba earlier today, it made me instantly think of Laci Peterson. You never want to believe it's possible but I just pray that if it is indeed Natalee, that Justice can finally be served and Beth Twitty can get the answers she has been looking for. I know it's a real long shot that it's actually her after all of these years.

Like Laci Peterson, such a very sad case . I can't begin to imagine either families heartache and grief . Yes, if it is indeed Natalee, her family at least will have the long awaited dreaded answer. Perhaps it will bring them some peace when justice is served, so that beast Joran Van der Sloot can finally be held accountable for the monster he is.

my local news (i live in alabama, and my news comes from natalee's hometown) said it was a leg bone (guess they were wrong about that, lol, thanks cnn!). anyway, they also said that it had been determined to be human, but there's no news yet on whether it belongs to natalee, and her mom hasn't commented thus far. i pray beth holloway and the rest of natalee's family will finally get some closure and peace.

I hadn't heard this so thanks for posting Hill! I hope it is Natalee, just so like others mentioned the family can get some type of closure. So sad. But even if it is found to be her, they still can't prove Joran did it, can they? That guy makes me sick.

Sadly, I feel the same way. I understand that Aruba is under the rule of the Dutch government, but knowing Joran's ties to that very government, it makes me sick to see they are in charge of examining & testing the jaw bone. Hopefully, something will come of this, but I'm not holding my breath.

i hadn't considered that, but it's definitely possible. they botched the original investigation so completely, there's no way in the world anyone could ever be charged. i would hope that, once the initial testing is done, the holloway family could demand, through our government, of course, that the jawbone be sent to the U.S. for independent testing.
