Our family is visiting WDW for the first time January 20-27. I made an ADR at CRT for one morning but have not made any others. We don't have any WDW experience or favorites, but are looking for suggestions. Also, what can we expect for weather and crowds? We are doing the DDP and plan on using the DDP for TS dinners.

January 2007 Port Orleans Riverside :drive: :laundy:  :moped: :tink:
January 1992 Disneyland (newlyweds) :drive: :laundy:
August 1972 Disneyland (family vacation) :drive:

I have to say January is my favorite time to visit. You get away from the midwest winters, almost no lines, and you can get some great deals.

Beware it can get cold in Florida (50-60's). We brought light jackets, but no gloves or hats and we ended up buying some at the park $$$. Also they tend to shut down the water rides during that time.

Kids are 13g, 12b, and 4g. Being from Michigan, anything above 50 is warm during the winter months.

I second that :rotfl2:

On topic- the only TS meal we've had was at CP and I would highly recommend eating there. The food was very good and of course we ate too much. We have ADR's for CM and 1900 park fare this Dec. so I can let you know when we get back how they were.

We'll be there the 19th thru the 28th. Last year it got cold for a few days, so I wish that we had brought gloves into the parks. We had jackets, but they were in the room as well. The beginning of the week was warm and we enjoyed the pool. Hit or miss I guess.

My family loved Chef Mickey's for our first evening. It is a nice way to get in the spirit. We only had one child with us, but everyone can be a kid at heart at Disney. Crystal Palace was nice, but not our favorite. 'Ohanna at the Poly is good fun and an all you care to eat family style meal. We all enjoyed Kona Cafe, also at the Poly. The food is excellent!

Garden Grill in Epcot was a nice character meal. Family style food, not a buffet.
We are going to try Coral Reef in Epcot this year. I don't know how the food is, but my family should enjoy the aquarium.

How funny! We took our honeymoon in 92 and our taking our kids on their first trip this January as well :thumbsup2 When in 92 did you go? We went the end of September.

My girls are 4 and 7. We are doing CRT for breakfast one day, Kona's for the adults one night while the girls go to Neverland (at the Poly), Princess storybook lunch one day and Crystal Place early dinner one night.

No other ADR booked and not planning on booking any more. We have a couple of "open" days toward the end of the trip that I want to leave open based on what park we want to do again or things that we missed.

BTW, we are starting our drive down the day you leave.

We went between Christmas and New Years. What beautiful weather we had.

We were gonna drive down but found great flight tickets on SW. What relief to not have to drive 24 hours to get there.

Try dinner at Whispering Canyon (WL) and/or Hoopty Do Revue (or however it is spelled). Both are a lot of fun.
:thumbsup2 Eva
