What are the temperatures like for January sailings (i.e. Bahamas/Caribbean)? I've never cruised before and was curious if it was too cool to get the most out of a trip.

Our cruise last January wasn't horrible. Now that being said we are Canadian so it was warm to us. LOL. It was in the high 70's most of the time, castaway cay day was a bit warmer, water felt chilly at first but it really wasn't bad.

I am Canadian as well and I found Florida cold, and Bahamas on the cool side in January. Not super cold but too cool to swim. Florida temps were only about 14-20 last January and Bahamas was low 20's. I mean Celsius lol. It honestly was fine though, as we sailed it got warmer fast and Caribbean was hot enough. 30 degrees in St. Thomas USVI and even warmer in Puerto Rico. I wouldn't worry. Just expect you may need a sweater when you embark/disembark the ship in Florida.

We cruise often in January and the only cold weather "problem" I remember was one day at Castaway Cay where it was cool. Not too cold, but not the warm sunny weather they had the week before we got there. We still spent the day ashore and loved it. We actually prefer the gentler warmth of the winter months.
