January/February 2018 discounts, who else is in?

Well, I called again, got through with no wait. Spoke to a very nice CM and there was plenty for my dates (MLK day weekend and president's day weekend). Didn't book because the discounts, while decent, still weren't enough for me to justify a solo stay on property. Oh well, at least I know! And she was able to check the Disney Visa discount for me too, no issues.

Just called and saved about $500 with PSD @ Coronado Springs, switching from Pop. My friend and her kids are booked at Pop as well, and she can't call in to change her reservation until after some meetings at work today...ugh. I hope it's still available.

What type of package did you have?? I did the same switch and only saved about 200?

Great! I'm also trying for Pop but my dates are locked in and not seeing any availability. I have it open in a browser though and click refresh as often as I think of it. Hoping for even a little more savings. Saved $98 earlier today and if I can save a bit more I'll take it. Thankful for every penny I save.

I was able to get 25% off a Beach Club Standard view for our dates. We really wanted Wilderness Lodge but they are only offering 10% and would have cost $81.97 more per night than the BC.

I'm hoping a bounce back or passholder discount comes out later for a bigger discount.

Does anyone know what the breakdown and the actual discount is? Here's how it changed our trip. $5076.66 was original with no discounts, $4395.52 is with SPD. So saved me about $680. I did not change anything, just added the SPD package. Hotel, room, tickets, dining (deluxe) all stayed the same.

SO thrilled with what I got! We are now doing a split stay, but I'm excited about it! 3 nights at Beach Club in a lagoon view, 8 nights in a cabin. ALL on SPD at what works out to be a FANTASTIC discount for us. Can't wait!

I booked Feb 7-11 at BWV studio RO at 25% this morning at 9:45. Just called to see if the Disney Visa rate was cheaper. After 49 minutes on hold, the Disney visa rate was the exact 25% off. So didn't gain anything. Are other people getting more than 25% off?? Fortunately, I was able to continue doing my work while on hold and I'm happy with my reservation as is. Now will wait to see if I can get anymore off when AP discounts come out.

I called right when all this went live online. And French Quarter discount was already full. How is that even possible unless there really were no rooms available?! So frustrated with disney.

For those of you set on a resort (RO) but can't get the room category you want, book now what you can afford and keep checking back. Last February I was able to change my reservation from a Garden View to Standard view (under whatever discount was going on at the time) at POR 2 days before we were to check in and pocketed quite a savings. Just be prepared to take what you booked, but know that you may be able to get that lower.

No, because of the construction. If you want to do a moderate I'd look at POR. It looks like AKL has some great discounts on standard rooms too.

NO. CB has construction going on, and dates get moved back all the time. I've stayed in WDW resorts during construction and it is no fun.

I'll tell you one thing. I will NEVER book by phone again. Two calls (on hold a total of 200 minutes.) One half-asleep cast member, one really nice one. Neither one of them gave me the same information. Neither one gave me the same offers. Neither one had SPD. I'll just go with online. Forever.

Interesting. I inquired about the VISA discount on BC and was told nothing but Club Level available. I assume the dates of travel is the difference?

Just called. Was on hold only 3 minutes. Inquired about the VISA discount and the only deluxe resort available was Saratoga Springs. All others only had availability at club level :-(. Was really hoping for BC.
