We need flights from ROC to MCO on 1/5/06 returning on 1/13/06. In previous years we've been spoiled with some great rates from Airtran, usually paying around $390-410 for 3 R/T tickets on non-stop flights. Now that Airtran has released their schedule thru 1/11 I could purchase our seats for the trip down but hate to have to pay $104 for one way!
I've checked and the only less expensive option right now is Jetblue at $89, but the flight connects in JFK and with the taxes it is $102.40 versus $114.20 for the AT flight. We like the idea of getting on the plane here and getting off in Orlando.
I know everything at this point is pure speculation and conjecture but what would you do? We don't have SWA here, would have to drive about an hour to Buffalo for that and pay for airport parking so that seems pointless right now.
I just want to have these tickets bought and paid for, but the pricing seems pretty high right now. Do you think the prices will drop for early Jan flights?
