We can all hope for an upgrade...you never know...Just think positive!
Either way, we are going to be sailing on the best ship ever!! :thewave:

:cheer2: :cheer2:

Ooooh upgrades...droool. Though did you read that person on the main board who was sad b/c they were only upgraded to a 10 from a 12? As narcissistic as I can be, I personally think there are a world of other things to be sad about...and a cruise isn't one of them! :rotfl: I mean, you know there are at least 12 families that didn't get squat in upgrades when they booked gty 12 ;) And hey baby, I'll take the split bathroom any day!

Sooooo...speaking of. Irony of ironies, I counted back 45 days from our cruise date, and guess what day that falls? The day that we know that if it hasn't happened, it's a matter of 1-2 weeks before we get our room assignment isssss....

THANKSGIVING!! LOL!!!! Mebbe it's an omen ;) (For you canadians, that would be 11/24...which you probably already know if your stores jump in to participate in Black Friday ;) )

I have to agree with you on that one. When I booked our room, I booked the least possible category that I would want because you simply can't count on getting an upgrade to be happy. I don't think anyone should EXPECT an upgrade, and if they do and don't get one, then that's their fault! :earboy2:

Upgrades are nice but to me they are not really all that important.

Yes I would love to have one but no I'm not going to be upset if I don't have one.

This will be our 7th Disney cruise. I'm thinking we have been upgraded 3 maybe 4 times and once was because of a problem with our original cabin.

So if I'm still in a Category 12 then hey, I'm still good because I'm on the ship ;)

Vicki ~~ I don't know how you did it but thanks for turning up the heat over there. :sunny:

I just checked the weather forecast (for the 2 millionth time  ) and the temperatures have taken a big jump up for next week :cheer2:

Guess I may have to rethink what I was going to pack :teeth:

Your Welcome :sunny: ! I wish I could take credit but I can't. I'm just happy it's going to warm up for your trip. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will remain nice. I fly down to Anaheim on Thurs. to join DH on business and spend some much needed time at Disneyland. I'm also watching the weather reports and hoping for lots of :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:.

Thursday of this week?

I hope the weather will be good for you too.

:wave2: Good Mornin' fellow cruisers. Just wanted to give y'all a quick shout, and tell you that I hope that you all have a great day!

Can't believe that out cruise is about 2 months away...that's not that far away! :earseek: 59 days, to be exact...WOW! :cheer2:

 I just had to share my heartbreak so this doesn't happen to you.

Last week my hard drive on my computer crashed as in the platters that contain the data all fell on top of one another and all the data is lost. I was willing to pay big bucks to retrieve it, but was told that it was impossible by 2 different data recovery places. I was very sad since I had all my pictures and videos stored on there. Through December 2004, I have on CD's. But everything from 2005 I had not backed up. Luckily I had printed a few pictures through Sept. But I lost all of the first day of school for my girls and all of my son's first birthday. That is what I am the most upset over. He will never get to see his birthday! I am kicking myself for not backing everything up. After I finished crying, we went out and bought a handy new device in order for me to back up my hard drive with a click of the mouse in the future.

I am telling you all this so that you will be smart enough to save all your precious memories and important documents. PLEASE back everything up! You never know when disaster may strike.

On a happier note...only 2 months until we cruise! (and I will be backing those pictures up!)

So sorry to hear about your big loss attagirl.

I am going to copy my pictures on to cd's right now. Actually I have back up of most of them already but it is time to do it again. ::yes::

Really sorry about that too, attagirl. That happened to me too and I lost vacation photos from our trip to Boston. Luckily I'd sent a few to my FIL so we got those back. After that I dutifully backed everything on CD, lesson learned the hard way. But its still a loss and it makes you wish you'd stuck with film!!

I am so looking forward to making lots of new memories on the cruise!! I think what I am most excited about is seeing the look on my girls' faces during the many magical moments of the Disney Wonder... the sail away party and the horn blast, dinner at AP, their first face to face with a character, their first look at the beauty of CC... I think those are the memories I will treasure the most and replay in my mind long after this vacation is over. :cloud9:

What are you all looking forward to the most? 66 Days to go!!
:cheer2: :cheer2:

Yikes, attagirl. I can understand you being upset. I have been putting off backing my things up and buring things to discs, but I guess I really need to do it now. I have tons of pictures that I can't imagine losing. I am really the picture taker of the family, so that would really be bad.

sapphire33, I think the thing that I am most looking forward to is the day at sea. Last time we did the 3 day and it went by really fast, so I'm excited to see how it goes this time. I also hope to be able to play bingo again. And hopefully we'll be able to snag a hammock on CC. It was very crowded last time, but hopefully it will be better this go around. I think I'm also looking forward to getting dressed up for Palo! Of course I'm also excited about doing the new Stingray excursion on CC!

Oh no, that's terrible! I am trying to be better about backing up too. On top of that, we need to either put those backup cd's in our safe deposit box or get a fire proof box, b/c while insurance will replace most things, you can't replace pictures if they get destroyed if something happens to the house.

Big mistake, I was looking at the food pic thread over on the restaurants board, and droooooooooooooool. With the park hours being released, early/late EMH changing around, I've moved my plans again (shocking! ;) If I don't have anything to plan, I create something). So now we've opted for ADR's at Boma the first night and Le Cellier the second in the parks. Then of course on the cruise we've got Palo dinner followed quickly by Palo brunch. I think I'm going to have to be rolled onto the plane after this vacation.

Thought this was funny: DH's supervisor just got back from a weekend trip on an RCL ship that sails out of Port Canaveral. He was telling DH about it and said, "we were right next to the Disney Cruise Ship, and man, that's the NICEST looking ship I have ever seen! You'll have to let me know how you like it!" Can't wait to see it for ourselves. I am assuming it's like the Grand Canyon...no picture can prepare you for what it's really like ;)

In the evening: we don't do clubs, and probably won't do the shows. But I am really looking forward to those movies. What about you guys?

Bingo sounds fun too. Maybe the martini tasting ;)

Not me. I can go to the movies or rent a video anytime I want at home.

I LOVE to go to the shows and into the clubs. Those are things we don't do very often or never at home.

The stage productions are one of our favorite parts of the cruise.

I learned my lesson that musical and/or dance type theater isn't for DH when he fell asleep during the Nutcracker. :rotfl: At least he stayed awake during the last musical we saw, but he did spend the second act learning all the settings on his new watch.

I guess there are just somethings I have to consider gal pal activities. ;)

As for the clubs...hmmm, us and dancing...probably the only way we keep our respect for each other is by NOT seeing each other try to fast dance. I'm fairly certain people couldn't tell if we were dancing or dry-heaving.

I do wish they had slow dancing  Even if our rhythm is off, we can just stand still in each others arms and let the ocean sway us.. :teeth:

I never dance when I go to the clubs at night.

There is more that goes on than just people dancing.

The stage performers sometimes put on a bit of a show.

Passengers are often recruited to put on short skits.

Some of this stuff is absolutely hilarious fun to watch.

Cruisin....I leave on Nov. 10th. Boy, I was trying to cut out a week so I can get to Disneyland sooner.

Attagirlx2... Sorry to hear about your computer problems. :badpc:

On the cruise, I don't want to sleep much at all. I would like to see and do as much as I can. I can rest from the cruise once we get back home. I'm really looking forward to the shows.

Branv....We are having lunch on Saturday at Le Cellier. Looking forward to it since I've read wonderful reviews.

Okay, I'll admit I can be pretty anal about a lot of things. One thing I am really anal about is putting together a touring plan for WD. Well when I saw they changed the Extra Magic Hours that threw my whole plan off. Now I don't like my new plan. Plus I am worried that it is going to be extremely crowded at that time. Still doing LeCellier for dinner on Saturday night. I moved lunch at the Rainforest Cafe to Thursday. Found out 50's Prime Time Cafe is scheduled to close Jan 4 - Jan 28 for refurbishment, so I need a new lunch plan for when we are in MGM.

The thing I am most looking forward to is focusing on my girls. Getting to spend a lot of time with them without any distractions (ie their brother). I get to spend everyday playing with him while they are in school, so I am looking forward to playing with them on this vacation. They are great kids and a lot of fun. princess: princess:

On the cruise, I love to people watch and would enjoy the clubs at night. DH and I can't dance at all. Bad rhythm. But I doubt we'll make it to anything after the shows. DH will be ready for bed before the girls. He is tired all the time :) On our last cruise, he only went to a few of the after dinner shows. He doesn't really enjoy them either.

My husband is tired all of the time too and goes to bed real early at home

I have the perfect solution to when he doesn't want to stay out on the cruise.

I just go without him :rotfl2:

This time my parents are coming, so I can see the men going to bed early and my mom and me staying out until the wee hours :rotfl:

attagirl, you can join us in the clubs if you want to. :teeth:

We won't dance but we can do lots of people watching and music listening to :earboy2:
