branv-Have you read any of the posts about the massages? I had planned from the day I put my deposit down on the cruise to do the couples cabana massage on CC. But then I read some posts about the cost and quality. After that I decided for the money DH and I could do the couples massages here about 3 times and have really, really good massages. Now, I do realize it won't be on the beach, and that would be something different and pretty cool to do. Then I also have to be realistic and think that we probably won't do a couples massage here either because we will not make it a priority. But I guess in this case, the penny pincher side of my personality won. And believe me, it doesn't win often - just ask DH. I am the type of person that if I have a nickle in my pocket, I need to figure out how to spend it. So maybe the solution is to make our massage appointments before we go on vacation and have them right when we get back. That would make the shock of coming home a little easier if we have some pampering to look forward to.

Hi AttaGirlx2,
My friend and I had the cabana massage. It might be worth it to some just for the view and the experience but I don't think it's worth the money for the actual massage - it's too short. I'd say skip it. Take turns rubbing lotion on each other's backs in a Serenity Bay lounge chair while staring out into the water and its like the same experience. ;) Enjoy your couples' massage when you get home!!

Just wondering if any of y'all had thought about maybe re-booking onboard. The DH and I want to do the 7-night Western, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed :wizard: that we are able to save enough to re-book while we are there!

I'm not sure about the massage thing either. I was going to book one for my mom as a christmas present, but $109!!?!?! I could get her 2 for the same price at home. but if I don't get her that I have no idea what else to get her for christmas...

I like to champagne idea, maybe you could scope out a romantic spot on ship and have chocolate or something waiting. or maybe the mud bath thing?

I cancelled the massage. I told DH about it after the fact and he almost spit out his fajita (note to self: don't spring excessively expensive excursion information on anyone at Taco Cabana unless they've also got a margarita in hand). Mmmm...margarita...ooh, huh, wha'? Sorry, I got distracted ;)

I doubt we'll rebook, the 2007 rates are just crazy. We're probably not going to vacation next year so we can finally concentrate on furnishing the house (what...somewhere to sit?? Who needs that?!). Sigh...oh the sacrifice :)

Cruisin', you are getting super close to your next cruise you lucky person!! I'm psyched over being under 70 days, but that's nuthin' compared to you!

:teeth: Actually I just picked up my cruise documents from the travel agent today :cheer2:

Not too much longer.

Now if I could only get someone to turn up the heat over there I'd be really excited ;)

Hey Vicki :smooth:

Would YOU please turn up the temperature in California for me a little bit :earboy2:

I wish I could!!!!! I would love for you to experience warm California weather. We had rain last night and I'm afraid the warm days of autumn are long gone. I've check weather sites and right now it doesn't look real warm for when you're in town. You know the weather people are not accurate a lot of the time. Let's think warm thoughts and don't worry it should/will warm up past San Diego, on your way to Mexico. Think :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Are you packed yet?

Part of the fun of a trip for me is keeping track of the temperatures before we leave.

You are right, they don't look really good but as long as the sun is shining I don't really mind so much. Temperatures in the low 70's are great, hopefully that is what we will end up with.

I'm not packed yet but I do pretty much know what I'm going to take and have been gathering some stuff like toiletries etc. I will probably not really pack until next Saturday.

I will be checking the temperatures on a daily basis until we leave, hoping those weather people change their minds.

Hey, I was keeping watch on the airline website last week and the price of our flight dropped almost a hundred dollars. I called and asked if I could get the cheaper price and the lady said sure she would give us a credit voucher for the difference. I never received any notice that she had actually done it until today (one week later). So now we have a nice credit and will just have to travel somewhere to use it up :smooth:

The lower price on those flights was not online for more than a few hours that I saw. I guess I was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

Congrats Cruisin on the vouchers! Now, you have to plan another trip...wouldn't want those to go to waste :) Hope you have a fabulous trip next week! We'll all be hoping for :sunny: for you.

Cruisin.....Great job on those vouchers :thewave: It always extra special when you get to take advantage of a discount. You're so lucky that the airline was cooperative !!!!!!! Sometimes it really does pay off keeping track of travel cost, tickets, hotels, etc. Right before we travel somewhere I call the hotel we will be staying at to see if the rooms are going for less than what we will be paying for. And then get the appropriate credit and rate reduction. (It's sort of a little game I like to play) :rotfl:

Good Morning everyone!!! I know we "got" another hour sleep due to the time change but I'm still tired. Anyone else having adjustment issues with the time change?????

The yearly time changes don't seem to affect me at all.

Now crossing time zones with several hour differences is more bothersome to me.

I'm not sure about the time change yet. It makes me feel like I should be going to bed at 7 now since it's completely dark outside.

I can't belive how the days keep ticking down...Only 67 more to go. I am really excited about finding out our room #'s....Wonder how much longer we'll have to wait. :confused3 Doesn't DCL understand this is killing me! LOL :teeth:

I'd like to have our cabin number too but if waiting longer maybe gives us an upgrade then what the heck, I'll wait.

Probably won't happen but we can always hope :goodvibes

I just checked and the temperatures are slowly creeping up for our cruise next week.

Maybe I will need to pack those shorts afterall :smooth:

We can all hope for an upgrade...you never know...Just think positive!
Either way, we are going to be sailing on the best ship ever!! :thewave:
