I love her too have them all my fav is Dance with the Devil. I'm really looking forward to Unleash because I've been waiting for wren's story forever but Amazon pushed the date back to Jan1.
. By the way have you heard of J.R. Ward she has one book out called Dark Lover which is fantastic and the start of a new series. http://www.jrward.com/ is her website. Check out her interviews with the Brothers. They're hilarious.

Glad to see you back, Cruisin!! Hope you had a great time!!

Branv, actually much to my own amazement, I've only checked the DCL site once to see if they had assigned our rooms yet. I'm usually very impatient, but not this time for some reason!

Has anyone read a trip report where they play "tag" with all the DIS'ers? It really sounded like a fun idea, just wondered what everyone else thought??

What is tag? (other than the traditional playground version) Obviously I haven't read any threads about this!

How was your trip Cruisin?? Glad you're back.

Our cruise was okay but I will tell you for sure that the Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas is NOT the Disney Cruise Line ;)

It was enjoyable but we were constantly comparing everything with the Disney way of doing it and unfortunately the Royal Caribbean was NOT winning :rotfl:

Vicki, I hope you are having funny at Disneyland and are having better luck with the weather than we did. ::yes:: It was definitely jacket weather most of the time that we were away. We saw very little sunshine.

Our room at the Best Western Sunrise Hotel in San Pedro was quite nice. It was very large and the carpet was brand new. The bed coverings looked brand new too. We could see our ship at port from our room window and the hotel was withing walking distance of enough things to keep us occupied for a few hours.

Overall it was a nice vacation but it has only made us more excited about our upcoming Disney Cruise :cheer2:

Now if I could just get this stupid ship to stop rocking, I'd be doing great :earboy2:

Welcome back Cruisin. Sorry the weather did not cooperate for you. I'm so glad your room in San Pedro was nice and comfortable. But lets keep our fingers crossed that Jan. will be warm and sunny for us all. I would really like to come home with a little color. What good is it vacationing in winter if you can't come home with a tan??? :sunny:

No, I have not checked to see if we have been assigned a cabin number. I don't want to jinks the large upgrade we are hoping to get! Ha Ha Ha :rotfl:

Disneyland was great. The weather was nice, even warm yesterday. The Christmas decorations are up and looking beautiful. We had a great time but need a couple of days to recover. We opened and closed the park three days in a row. :earseek:

I would like to hear more about "tag" that some DIS'ers did. We've got to start thinking about the meet and stuff before we get distracted with all the holiday preparations.

Welcome back JoyCrazy...we've missed you!!

Here is what one DIS'er posted about tag in her trip report. This is where I learned about it, and hopefully it will help explain it. After I read it I thought it sounded like a fun idea. This was copied directly from her post, so here goes:

Lessee...how do I explain tag without really confusing everyone here, including me?

Well, basically we had a list of people who agreed to play tag on the ship and we had two very nice people who helped organize it: Paul, who set up a secure Yahoo database for the cruise, and Kevin who set up the rules and really pulled the game together.

The game starts out with everyone receiving a list of players and a magnet. The idea is to start with the person / cabin listed just below your name on this list - you tag them by leaving the magnet and a little tag gift (we tried to make it easy by suggesting that people leave something indicative of their hometowns / states). Then you have to wait for someone to tag you in the same manner before going on to tag the next person on your list - you keep going until you reach your name.

It was a blast! And people were very creative - Kevin made a vacation / party mix CD for everyone, Suzie left a diabetic coma-inducing bag of sweets to take to the movies, Wayne and his family left a bag o' stuff from England including some keychains and a recipe for yorkshire pudding (Yum!).

Our tag was a grab-bag of stuff that was supposed to play off the name we'd given our cruise thread - The Molar Express. A bunch of us suffered a rash of broken teeth through the year...so I found little toothbrush / teeth eraser sets, and watermelon flavored billy-bob candy teeth and put those in a bag with some other goofy stuff.

If you can get enough people to agree to play and get it organized it adds a whole extra dimension to the week. Jason and I had so much fun with it - we can only hope everyone else did to!

49 days until Disney?!?!?! Holy cr@#! We have a lot to accomplish before then...the usual Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays to get through, my DH is starting a new job, and we are moving (well, I hope we are moving...there has been quite the delay on the house building!). YIKES!!! Now all we need is to find out we're having a baby and you will have to commit me to the mental ward at the local hospital. :rotfl:

At least all of those happenings makes the time pass quicker to the cruise date :rotfl:

It will be here before we know it. :cheer2:

Isn't it great? No after holidays "let down." Instead, the joy of the holidays will blend right into the "I'll be on a Disney vacation in a few days" hysterical excitement!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

We got blasted with snow last night and its currently 19 degrees outside. :cold: If that alone is not a reason to look forward to :sunny: and ::MickeyMo then I don't know what is!!

Yikes - snow??? Here in SW Florida people have been turning the air conditioning back on - it's been mid 80's. However, a big cold front is coming for this weekend, dropping it to about 75 (which is perfect)!

Oh, how I'd love to see some snow this winter! I miss the white pretty stuff - not the gray stuff that has been on the ground for 3 months and just won't melt away that I grew up with. But a good snowfall around here lasts just long enough to enjoy it and then its gone.

:cold: I hate snow and cold :cold:

Well, I don't actually hate it but I don't really enjoy it either. I guess that I just tolerate it :earboy2:

That's why it's so nice to cruise in January.

Keep that heat turned up down there please :sunny:

I'm not a cold/snow kind of girl. That's why we always vacation somewhere warm in the winter. If I could chase that endless summer I would. :sunny:

Whew, 19 degrees! We were at 85 for a while, but down to 30's late tonight, woohooo!!! I'm coming to loathe the summer, but at 108 degrees this summer, I was contemplating freezing my underwear :teeth:

Good luck with the new house! This is the second one we've built, and ooooy vay. Everytime we swear we'll never do it again, but we probably will ;)

I'm nervous about our WDW trip, it is going to be alot busier then I assumed at the parks. I'd been hoping to get a deal and up our resort, so I was keeping an eye out. Friday and Saturday night, moderates are booked, POP is booked solid Saturday night, and the deluxes only have the pricier rooms left. Goodness! Everyone kept swearing the marathon didn't effect things, but I guess since they doubled the # of runners this year... :earseek: Definitely make good use of those touring plans and ADRs! :)

I should have not complained about 19. This morning it was noticabely colder as I walked from my car to work. I found out it was 6!! 6!! That is not a number you want to hear in degrees.

I too tolerate the snow. It's pretty when it comes down, but the a.m. struggle with boots, snowpants, hats and lost gloves (DD6 already lost one glove from her first pair of the season  ) for four kids makes me crazy, then I get to deal with chipping ice off my car to get to work... and well, then I don't like snow so much!

But I absolutely HATE the cold. Can't deal with it. I love Wisconsin except for those bitter cold days that each winter brings. I think what I look forward to the least about our Disney trip is coming home and realizing that I have the cold of Jan. Feb. and March to look forward to yet, having just left (hopefully!!) lots of sun. I will have to cherish every warm moment and make the memories last til May. :goodvibes

I have no idea how you do it. I can't even imagine being somewhere that cold. You really deserve warm weather for the cruise. :sunny:
