We (me (55), my DH (54) and our DS (20)) just returned yesterday from our five nights at WDW and I will try to do a report.

We arrived at the BWI Monday, January 8th, at about 6:30 p.m. Checked in to our standard view room (we had a nice view of the courtyard) and then walked over to EPCOT.

We had 7:40 p.m. reservations at the Rose & Crown. We were seated inside the R&C at about 7:50 p.m. My DH and DS both ordered the Fish & Chips. I had the Chicken Pasty. Our dinners were quite good. My DH had an apple crumble for dessert and my son and I shared the Sticky Toffee Pudding - both YUMMY. Our bill was $80 including the tip. At 8:55 we were escorted outside to a viewing area and had a perfect seat for Illuminations.

On Tuesday, January 9th, we went to the Animal Kingdom for the first time. We have been to WDW many, many times and had never gone to the Animal Kingdom. We enjoyed it VERY much. We did Expedition Everest first (no line), Dinosaur and then the Safari. All big fun and no lines. Fantastic.

We left the Animal Kingdom and went to the Macaroni Grill for lunch.

After lunch, we went back to the BWI and killed the rest of the day. We went to ESPN Zone for dinner. My husband had Nachos, I had a Chicken Dinger sandwich and my son had a Fish Sandwich. I think the nachos were the best of the three. This was our least favorite meal of the trip (including a couple of meals at Perkins:)

On Wednesday, January 10th, we started out at EPCOT and waited in line about 10 minutes for Soarin'. I LOVE this ride.

We then walked around the World Showcase a little. My brother-in-law and his wife were joining us that evening, so we didn't want to do everything until they were with us.

We had lunch at les Chefs de France and really enjoyed it. We all had the French Menu (French Onion Soup, Ham and Cheese Sandwich and Creme Brulee). The price was $18 per person and we will do this again the next time we are at WDW.

After lunch, we left EPCOT and went to the Mall at Millenia for a couple of hours. It is a lovely mall.

We had dinner at Perkins Wednesday night and it was fine. A cheap meal and food is decent. Our family arrived about 8:30 p.m. and we made plans for the next day.

We went to EPCOT early Thursday morning and walked on to Soarin'. We then did Spaceship Earth, Mission Space (just the men) and Test Track.

We then went over to MGM and had a great lunch at the Brown Derby. Three of us had Cobb Salad, my son had barbequed chicken breast and my brother-in-law had NY strip. All delicious. We shared an appetizer of coconut shrimp - YUMMY. Desserts were fabulous. My husband had some kind of tower with bananas foster, I had grapefruit cake (YUM) and my brother-in-law had creme brulee. We really enjoyed our lunch at the Brown Derby. It was $160 including tip for the five of us

We did The Great Movie Ride, Muppets in 3-D and the Tower of Terror with no lines.

We went back to EPCOT in the evening and had dinner at the Rose & Crown. Three of us had the Fish & Chips, one Chicken Pasty and I had the Vegetable Selection. All very good. Walked around the countries and enjoyed Illuminations.

On Friday morning we headed to the Magic Kingdom. We were there at opening and walked on to The Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey's Philharmagic, It's a Small World and Space Mountain.

We had lunch at Perkins and then headed to the Animal Kingdom. We enjoyed the Festival of the Lion King and the Safari. The only line we encountered the entire trip was at the Expedition Everest, which was an hour at 3:30 on Friday. We decided to pass.

We went back to EPCOT in the evening and had dinner at les Chefs de France. We all had either lobster bisque, french onion soup or salad for appetizers. Three of us had filet, and two had salmon. Desserts were profiteroles, warm apple torte and creme brulee. The bill was $300 including two glasses of good wine, a mixed drink with premium liquor and tip.

We really had a nice trip. The weather was perfect for us. It was cool on Tuesday and Wednesday (temps in the 60's), but great for walking around the parks. It warmed up nicely on Thursday and Friday. Sunny every day.

My brother-in-law had not been to Disney in 20 years, so he really enjoyed it. It was more fun for us because he hadn't been there in a long time.

This is the second year we have arrived the Monday after the Marathon and we think it is a great week to go.

Great report. Sounds like a great time to go!! Glad you had fun.
