OMG We are soooo Excitied. This morning I woke up to Disneymania, "B&TB" playing on alarm, followed by "I just Can't wait to be king". The kids were jumpped out of bed and sang as they got ready for school.

I think everyone was just busy with Halloween and such.

I'm looking to start packing now I know it seems a bit early but I'd like to get a list together so that I can start assembling the things I'll need. Does anyone have a website suggestion for packing lists?

A few questions:

1) Do people normally bring a pirate costume for the pirates party?

2) Do you need to book parking in advance or is it a first come first serve, pay when you get there situation?

**** DISMEETS UPDATE *****

It is all set for:

date: day of embarkation day.
Where: Promennade Lounge.

Promenade Lounge is a 104-seat lounge located on Deck 3, Aft situated off the elevator lobby on the Disney Magic. Open from approximately noon to midnight daily, Promenade Lounge is the perfect place for families to enjoy a refreshing beverage or snack, surf the Internet or partake in fun activities that occur throughout the day.

TIME:

The overall opinion is to have a rolling" DISmeets; meaning say around 2:3opm ish until about 3;30pm - this way, people can come and go and not feel pinned in to a specific time (like 3-3:30pm). And yes, I feel the "Adventures Away" party kicks in at 4:30pm (right after the boat drill).


ALSO - to those who would like to engage in a little bit of Disney pin trading during this time, feel free to bring a few pins as this is also a wonderful way to inneract with your fellow DISser.


ANYWHO -



Also, should anyone of you have to drop out of our cruise, please be kind & let me know so I can have an updated list as much as possible as my intention is to just have some DISney fun on this adventure and enjoy heading out to Key West for the very first time (I am a Jimmy Buffett nut), etc.

YYEEAA!!! I pick up my new 4 legged "dieting partner" in about a week!!
So, I am officially starting up my diet for this adventure so ANYONE who wants to join the ranks of being each others encourager and what not (list the pounds we have lost??), etc - feel free to post cuz I am am ready to have fun!!

Only 53 days untill my vacation starts and I couldn’t be more excited, especially since we sail in 61 days! It is coming so quickly!!

knewton64 we're on the same page. We've been dieting since we booked the cruise and I was down 43 lbs but with a recent lack in will power I think it is more like 34 now so it's time to get back on track!!

DeeLee I was finally able to book online. It's long story where my TA blames Disney and Disney blames my TA but at the end of the day I was able to book most of the excursions I wanted. We are doing the Butterfly Conservatory and Aquarium in Key West, The Tulum Ruins in Cozumel, The extreme Dolphin Swim & Turtle Farm in Grand Cayman and Swimming with the Rays on Castaway Cay.

JamesFam – we are also not so crafty but my son came up with the idea for our FE and I think it’s super cute. Some hot glue an iron and a few paint pens was all we needed, lol. I’ll post a pick of ours as well. I'm trying unsuccessfully to post it here so I will also post this on our fb group.

I hear ya about 'dem Travel Agents!!


I just found out about 2 days ago that the root of all my Hawaii travel issues was at the hands of my travel agent!


I am learning, literally live, to take a deep breath, move forward and not get hooked by the Goofiness of the situation and enstead focus on the excellent memories. And yes overall, I really really enjoyed the island of Maui.


A very beautiful place as I have a pocket full of wonderful memories to fall back on.





So......ONWARD TO KEY WEST!!

about costumes:


It was so funny talking to Captn Hook the other day (Oct 31st) at the Hyatt in Maui as I was leaving to go to the cities Halloween festivites.


About 2 days later as I was talking to the assistant mgr back at the hotel -

it suddenly hits me......

I suddenly "see" Cptn Hook form right before my eyes!


And I didn't even know it was him!!


Or was it? Hmmmmmm.......




ok.....I think this is one for the "ya had to be there" comments.

I still haven't bought flights yet. I've been playing the waiting game. Each week I watch Airtran to see what sales they offer. So far they aren't offering sales for the day of the week we are traveling. I'm starting to think I'm just going to have to buy regardless. I'm running out of time! This will be our first cruise EVER and i'm glad it will be DCL. We're 2 best friends; 22 male and 20 female. We can't wait!!!!! We're friendly, dorky, and easygoing. It's been so stressful with college and everything so this cruise is like the perfect excuse to escape winter (we're from New York). Oh January you can't come soon enough!!

I'm doin the happy dance!! Airlines may not have black friday sales but they do have Cyber Monday sales!! Our flights are booked so now I can enjoy the holidays without having to check flight prices every week! So excited!!

I've decided we're taking the extra time and driving down. My last day of work before Christmas vacation is December 22 so we've got time! Have a friends condo in Kissimmee from whenever we get there until Jan 6 when we'll make our way to Cocoa Beach for the night. Very excited!
