Baby's passport came in 3 weeks! Well before the 75 day deadline. All that worry for nothing. Now since we just moved to a new house, the fire box with all the other passports is somewhere buried in my pile of boxes in the garage! We have just 60 days to find the box!
I was worried we would get pregnant and miss the last cruise, but I did some math and #7 instead was almost a cruise souvenir instead. Congrats on the new baby!
Clothes on the first night: there is a "semi formal night", but you see everything from nothing dressy to very dressy, just depends on what you want. Definitely bring costumes, especially pirate night and if you want the kids to dress up like a character for character visits/photos in the mail lobby.
No excursions for us. My sis did the swim with the rays in Nassau on our first cruise, and 4 members of our group did a tour in Cozumel. I was unimpressed with Nassau without a tour, so I went back on the ship. It was very hard to expect myself to get off the ship on the VERY FIRST MORNING! I would more prefer a first day at sea or late arrival like the 7 night western to Key West, to give me my own time to explore the ship before having to leave! I'd actually love to just stay on the ship and just leave for CC and that's it! But my dad sent me an article talking about hidden treasures and things to do in Nassau, to not dismiss it, so I have to read the article and then I'll decide if I want to leave the ship.
I think our hopes for a military discount are fading. They're almost a sure thing during the time we're going, but the websites are offering military discounts for 3 and 7 night cruises well into January, but nothing for 4 night cruises the whole month! Oh well. It would have been nice to upgrade or get a discount, but we'll take what we can get. We're on the ship, that's what counts!
