January 31, 2010 - Wonder 4 Day! Join the Fun!

I am thinking my kids are too young also for an on-line chat. They are ds6, ds4, and dd2.

I am open to the FE thingy a jingy - let me know if anyone else is. We have a long time off to decide that!

I have a 8 YO DD and a & YO DS...Is anyone interested in having their children chat online to meet some friends pre-cruise??

This trip is a surprise for my children so they won't be able to chat on line before hand either. My DD (4) is too young to do so but my DS(9) may have enjoyed it. Although, we've never let him to anything like that before. I'm sure they will all meet up at the kids club aboard the ship.

lbuher - I, too, can't figure out how to do the multi-quote thing either. :confused3

I just love logging on to see how many more days are left!!!!

Me too......thanks!:thumbsup2

Not sure what to do in Nassau. Anyone have plans? Thinking about booking a room at Comfort Suites so we will have access to the water park.:confused3

Any suggestions?

We are seriously considering not doing a darn thing except maybe getting off to walk around for a little bit. We are on a fairly tight budget and I honestly feel like there will be enough to do on the ship without spending extra. Especially since this is our first Disney cruise, and it's only 4 days, I almost want to make sure we "get our money's worth" from the ship before we go spend a bunch more on something else. I've looked at the Navigators that have been posted, and I've read all the threads about whether to get off or stay on, and we're leaning towards staying on.

Having said all that, if money were no object, we would seriously consider Atlantis and the Comfort Suites option. My kiddos would LOVE the water park. But what they don't know won't hurt 'em!! :rolleyes1

We are going to stay on also in Nassau. My kids are too little to try and chase them all around the Atlantis. My dh and I have been there (loved it!!) so we don't feel a need to do that.

I might get off for a little straw market looksie - but plan on staying on the ship most of the day! My kids love to swim so I am hoping for some good pool time!

We will be joining all of you on the cruise too!!! It will be our first Disney cruise, but we did do a Carnival cruise last January and the kids could not have had more fun. We are giving it to them as a Xmas surprise and I am really having a hard time keeping my big mouth shut :rotfl: We are also torn on what to do on Nassau..I know the older kids would have a ball at Atlantis, but the little one is too small to go on anything and either my husband or I would have to chase the older two around while the other stays with the little one. I'm leaning toward staying on the boat at this point, but I also don't want to regret not showing the kids Atlantis if we have the chance!!! UGH!!!

"Congrats on your cruise without your kids, but just out of curiosity, what made you decide to do a first Disney one without kids?"

Ummm, not quite sure how to properly respond with a quote. LOL I tried. LOL

We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary and it is our "honeymoon we never had". So this is a kid-free trip. ;) Next time the guys will come along. :)

SOme friends of mine brought back their Navigators for us to look thru - wowzee - I can't believe all the activites listed. Really, how will one fit it all in?!!!

Yet another reason to stay on the ship in Nassau for most of the day, and yet another reason to make an on-board booking for a 2nd cruise down the road!

LB - you are a funny person!!! I obssessed over that also! I looked again at mine and it is from "**************" - that should show you many more sleeps you have.

I want to add another one to see how many more sleeps until I can book Palo!! LOLOLOL!!!

I want to start thinking about doing the FE - anyone else want to join in?

Hi, we'll be sailing along too. Our bunch wants to do FE's also. We'll have 6 adults and 5 children in 3 cabins. Who do I send my info to?

I don't think anyone has repsonded yet to head up the FE group. Unless I missed it?

Our family would like to do it also. We are two adults and three kiddos.

FE - they are Fish Extenders. It is a little bag you hang next to your door. People from your cruise meets can drop you note/goodies throughout the trip. You do the same for others. You can search thru the cruise line forum - there are lots of posts about this topic.

PJTM - what happened to your cruise clock???? Now I can't see how many more "go-to-sleeps" we have left!

WOW - I don't know what happened? Yikes. Need to get that fixed! I love to check the countdown also!

My family will also be sailing... it's our first Disney Cruise, (2 adults and 2 children). The FE's sound like fun, and we would definitely like to join in!!

Welcome Lexi!

Wish my ticker would get fixed!

I guess its not too early to start thinking about the FE's. I need to look back thru some old pics and figure out how to make one first! Then I will worry about what to put in them for the other families!

We'll be on the Jan 31st Wonder as well. :cheer2: I can't wait!!
We are a family of 4, with 2 kids: DS5 and DD5. This is our 2nd Disney cruise. We still haven't told the kids yet, maybe that will be a Christmas surprise. They are going to be very excited....almost as much as Dad is. :)

We are going down a day early and staying at the Nick Hotel and then staying 2 nights afterwards at Disney. No, my kids aren't spoiled...:rolleyes1
I love "justifying" the extra days. Going down was just incase the January weather in the northeast struck, it gives a day buffer. Plus it enables you to get on the boat early and enjoy most of the first day. As for coming back, the thought of coming back on a Thursday is just crazy to me.

We are most likely going to do Atlantis, except right now the prices are outrageous. Given the time of the year and unsure of exactly how warm it will be, I'm not sure if we'll get to make full use of the pools. The cheapest I've found is >$400 ($260 for the Comfort Suites). It is still cheaper than the Disney excursion, but still alot. We got a room at the Atlantis on the our cruise (Oct 07) and the price was ~$200. I'm hoping the prices will come down and check weekly. If anyone hears of a better deal, please let me know! :worship:

Reading this and seeing all the tickers, reminds me that it isn't too far off until we can book Palo and excursions.

I can't wait!!!
Jeff.

JNSMA - where are you staying after your cruise? I am still trying to work all that out myself. And transportation to WDW.
