January 3, 2011 - 5 night Bahamas Sailing

Yay! We got Palo for the last night at 8:00. Also made some time at Flounders for the little one. Im actually looking forward to one or two blocks of time where we just get to sit by the pool and read.

Has anyone ordered a wine package? Im considering ordering the 3 day wine package (It looks like it gets you tickets for three bottles or 4 or five , or however many you order, that you give to your server.) Im wondering if we can take the unfinished bottle with us to the room, or whether we can order the bottle from room service. A glass of wine with dinner sounds awesome, but a glass of wine on the verandah overlooking the ocean while the kids snooze sounds divine.

We actually bring our own wine. Just stop at any of the bars to get wine glasses. We took wine to dinner one night, and we even took our wine to Palo. We didn't have any time to have a glass on the verandah on our last cruise...........

Were you charged a corking fee?

I will add that to the items we bring on board :)

I am so not on this cruise but am about to book the Dream for 1/3/12 ;). Can anyone tell me what the weather is like and if the water temperature for CC? Thank you so much.

I'll let you know in January. lol. Im curious too.

I booked this cruise today for my 3.5 y/o daughter and myself. It's our first cruise. I'm reading through posts for tips and have found many wonderful suggestions. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and joining in the excitement up to the day!

you can also ask your stateroom host to get you glasses and an icebucket with ice to chill it in.

Welcome. Let me know if you are interested in joining the FE.

We were able to cool it just fine in the room "cooling box" - it actually worked quite well!

I think it is the luck of the draw - on the WBTA last month it did not cool hardly at all - but on the EBTA in April the one in our room was great and kept everything VERY cold. I do not know if that is one of the things they upgraded with dry dock or not.

lol, although I'm sure it wouldn't have been a big deal, we ended up booking 4/12 for just $120 more than 1/12. I sure do wish that I only had the time you guys have left, though.

By the way, anyone booking the Fantasy today?? We are going to book a 7-night eastern for Summer 2012 when we are on board in January........I cannot miss out on that on board credit like I did for this one
I think I posted on your other thread but just in case you didn't see it, we booked the 6/9/12 Fantasy Eastern yesterday. Our TA just said to check onboard in January and if it saves us $$ to rebook onboard, then we should rebook onboard for a new ressie, put her down as the TA, and then contact her when we get back to cancel the other one & get a refund of our deposit.

Which June sailing are you looking at?

The June 16 Eastern. I think it will be the first Eastern cruise after school lets out. So far, out of the 5 summer break Eastern cruises, that one is the cheapest so far! Looking at 5E cabins, but will "settle" ;) for 6A/6B.

Are you kidding me? Apparently, my tickers became ********* -- all astricks. Nothing like starting over again!!! :rolleyes2

We are interested in an Alaska cruise or a MR in 2012 so we will probably wait till we are on board to book. My MIL lives north of Puerto Vallarta for the winter and it would be neat to meet up with her for the day when we are in port. And Alaska is on DH's bucket list. So I think the Fantasy will wait. We haven't cruised yet so we don't even know if we will like cruising. :lmao:

We mostly wanted a 7 night eastern for Summer 2012 - would've been fine if it was the Magic and not even a new ship (we are doing a western on the Magic in Oct 2011). We do want to do Alaska, but I think would do that on a different line (Princess) and not for a long, long, long time :goodvibes Right now, we are into not having to pay for airfare to vacation!

We are booking the same 2012 cruise during this boarding, too! :)
