January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

We met up at the promenade lounge on our cruise in Nov. it worked out well, we met I think around 230, Im good for wherever or whenever but we wont be getting onboard till maybe 1 , 130 as we are coming from the poly using disney transfers. green beads or bracelets would be easy enough to find I would think or the leis i could bring from the poly:goodvibes

So have we decided to meet the first day rather than the 2d?? If so, I am all for the promenade lounge, but would prefer closer to 3. I am not sure the time for the lifeboat drill. Three gives everyone who is arriving from the parks time to get on board, get to their rooms, drop off bags, and maybe even do a quick stop by the salon/spa/reservations to get on a list for something and I think will still be before the lifeboat drill!

I like this time too, and that lounge is a great place to meet. It is on the Deck 3 down a hall from the aturim and front desk. Easy to find. I really don't think it will be hard to find people in the terminal if you know what a few look like due to the pictures.

We are flexible but 3pm sounds like a good time. Would give lots of time to the people that want to wander around and do any bookings. I told DH at dinner tonight that we were trying to decide today on the DisBoard how to distinquish who is in the group to meet. I told him we decided that we would be putting signs on all the DH backs that said "Kick me if you are here to see Mickey". :lmao: He just chuckled :)

Omg I love it! I would pay for the t-shirts if I could get hubby to wear one! :rotfl::rotfl: That's the best idea yet! :worship:

I love the beads idea...we have TONS of those! How about we all wear beads/lais/or green bracelets?

Oh, and if anyone else wanted to put their pic on photobucket, let me know by Sunday. I will send the Word doc out again on Sunday night so we can each print it out if we want.

I agree this is a great way to be able to find each other - I feel like I know everyone better now as we have shared names and photos of each other......we will all see each other soon anyway.

I encourage people who havent shared a picture yet - to send one in.

Yes having the photos & everyone's first name is great...It kinda makes you feel like you know people better & allows you to put faces to the screen names. So, agreed, please send in your photos if you haven't already.

And if you're doing the fish exchange please be sure to upload a photo if you have one because my DD's doing something special with the photos as a personalized gift for everyone...And that's all the info you'll get out of me on that matter:rolleyes1

In the spirit of being truly excited about going..............
We leave for Buffalo in 14 days, 20 hours, 12 minutes
:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

I was just viewing all of the photos in photobucket and had a chuckle with your photo heymoonkid - our family photo you see of us is probably the only one of the 4 of us for 2010. We are really bad with photo taking!!

So excited that I found a Disney Store last night in San Francisco. I can report that we too will be wearing coordinated (not matching :( ) shirts - red/gray. We will be getting to the port at 10:30ish and will look for all of the signs mentioned - leis, beads, balloons, big Ds, signs on DH's backs...did I get all of them? :rotfl:

We really can meet at anytime, but I'm sure we will run into one another at some point without much planning :cool1:

Can't believe we are getting so close!!! Only 16 more days until we leave for Florida!

Wow it's quiet here today

How do they work on the cruise ship??? Does texting work?? Is it crazy expensive?? Just trying to decide if it is worth it add a package to my cell phone. What are others doing????

I would think it would be way expensive....the roaming charges will kill you I would think.

Who are you texting? The people on the boat with you? I heard they have new wave phones now. Two per cabin , more in the suites. They are good while on the ship not calling out. There is a few threads about them on the forum.

We leave in 2weeks!!!! I need to go get my son some pants to wear to dinner, Marks Work Warehouse here I come.

That is what we did the first time we drove to disney...we left at 3;30am, the kids slept for a long way, it was great cuz we had 4 of them with us at the time. Then we stayed in Tennessee and left at 5am the next morning for the rest of the trip, they slept for most of that too...thank god cuz my Natalie was a VERY CHATTY 5 yr old then........:scared1:

When we drove last time, we left at 3pm and kids slept while we drove until about midnight. Then got up early the next day. So much easier to drive when kids are sleeping!!!
