January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

Just got back from our small town Christmas parade. It was cold but the sun was also out so it wasn't too bad.

Now Santa is going to be in the mall. I don't know how but my 10 year still believes, the 13 year old of course not. Even though I just told him as long as he believes or pretends to believe in Santa he has a change of getting what is on his list. :lmao: I'm sure this will be her last year, school kids always tell or they know but don't know if they should ask us....

10 weeks is that all. Good think I have Christmas to get though first to make my time go fast. Next weekend the tree will go up.

Okay - for those interested in going on the EEE tour in St. Thomas (tour #2).

http://www.eeetours.com/index.html

I have e-mailed Henry and he said that he may be able to give us a group rate, depending on how many people are interested in going. If you are interested in going, please PM me with how many adults and kids (and their ages). I'll e-mail him back and see if we can get a better rate! :thumbsup2

I'm thinking if you can let me know by Friday if you are interested?

FYI - here is one of the reviews I found on EEE on Cruise Critic:

I PM'd you yesterday but I'm not seeing it in my sent folder so let me know if you didn't get it. :o)

Saw Harry Potter 7 yesterday afternoon - good movie. Made me cry a few times of course. We saw it in IMAX which was great as I jumped out of my seat a few times. Cant wait now for Part 2 - long wait until July.

Did it warm up today? It was -4 this morning and was hard to get the frost of the car windows. But it is suppose to warm up again this weekend. But I did hear an Alberta clipper is coming too ....

Hope your dd is feeling better.

Hard to keep everyone healthy. My dd has a cold and son a sore throat so I know it will hit me soon too.

Well it sort of warmed up if warming up to -13 suffices!!! :rotfl: The sun is trying to peak out of the snowy clouds so who knows what the day will hold.

DD is still stuffed up and yucky, I hope she is better tomorrow as I don`t want to miss more work as I am in training for this position (I am covering for a mat leave starting early March). Sigh, if so, I guess I just get to spend more time with you all and dream about 69 days from now!!

Our lazy Sunday today turned out to be rather productive so far. We had a somewhat early trip to Target, then came home and wrapped some presents for my mother-in-law who will be visiting in a couple weeks. We also wrapped some gifts for extended family for her to take back with her, since we won't be making it up for Christmas this year.

no snow here so far, not to cold either. Boring boring day!Maybe I should go out and do some shopping for the fe gifts since I have yet to do any so far!

No snow here either today. DH was able to get out today for another round of golf. He had to wait until the frost lifted but then off he went. He just can't let the season go

No snow to report ..... THANK GOD!!! It is cold though....... 69 more day....WOO HOO!!!!!! Heres comes the sun

67 more days till we arrive at the poly! Want it hot hot hot!Okay maybe not that hot but sunny skies and warm breezes will be very much welcome! Be nice if we are able to make use of the pool at the resort but won t count on that as last trip in November it was to cold to swim while we were at the yacht club. Soooo looking forward to being back on the magic!

Husband and son saw it Friday night and went back to watch it again tonight. Just to see if they missed anything since they were so excited about going.

It sure turned cold to day , went to church then went to the very busy mall to see Santa. My dd said he was skinny....:lmao:

Now I get to do this :laundy: I really hate those smart meters that make me wash late at night because it is cheaper. Mind you weekends are low rates but we were out all weekend.

We are having a thunderstrom this morning. I love counting down day till cruise. The only sad thing is once you are on the ship the days fly by.

I am still getting used to the time element on doing laundry and running dishwashers......I hear they are going to extend the hours staring in May so 7pm the cost will get cheaper

What are you guys talking about? Can you only do laundry at certain times? :confused3

It is just cheaper to use electricity at certain times of the day. That is what the smart meters do. They know when you use what and there is a different rate. So Now we are on winter hours so our peak hours are from 7 am until 11 , then 5- 9pm. This means if you wash or run the dishwasher at these times you pay 9.3 cents /kwh , but if you wait and do your stuff after 9 you pay 4.4 cents. There is also a mid peak which is 8 cents that is 11:00 am - 5pm.

This is so we use our power when most factory and work places are not using theirs. :confused3

We are on winter hours , in May it changes to summer hours. I did hear they were going to change the 9:00pm to 7:00 pm in the spring. Oh and all weekend it is off peak hours. But I was away all weekend so I was up until 1:30 doing my wash. So much for being a SAHM and getting stuff done.

We just had our SMART meter installed this week. I knew everyone in town had been getting them so it was just a matter of time. I just got all new appliances recently so I made sure I got the feature with time delays. My diswasher runs at bedtime and I unload it when I am waiting for the coffee to brew in the morning at 5:30. Same with the washer and put it is to dry in the morning. Just means I have to be a little more organized.
I did hear that they are doing a time shift and will be changing to 7PM.

Crap....I never ever paid attention...I did not know all that.....:lmao: I do mine whenever...laundry, dishwasher, dryer, hot bath...showers galore...no wonder my gas, hydro and water bills are so much higher than everone else's..:scared1: I think I will start paying more attention...:thumbsup2

My hydro bills are very high , guess I should be paying more attention as well!:scared1:

Hi all...

Binky1 had sent me a pm to update some FE info, so for those of you keeping score at home, there are some corrections to be made. Again, a complete, finalized list will be available sometime after the FE sign-up period closes next month. Hope everyone in the United States has a great Thanksgiving...we know we will. It will be our 2nd wedding anniversary, and we're thinking of going out to Sea World for the day :banana::banana:
