We were able to change from DS to DD. I think we might be cancelling our dinner ressie for 3 for dinner at Palo. Son would have loved it, but don't think it is dd's cup of tea.
I am the type that does not want to spend any extra on anything. We don't even do Palo. The food is fine in the dinning room for us. I don't have to cook or clean up.
On Castaway Cay we are happy just to sit on the beach. The kids do their own thing with the clubs. They have plenty to do for them , games etc. I think I heard that there is a splash pad thing there now for them too. So for us personally is not worth it. Plus if it is cooler on that day we won't be staying out there all day. Would you lose your money then ?
What comes with Cabana's? I have seen pictures of it, a hut with table in chairs in side with a hammock outside. Is that it?
Just realized I asked more question to your questions.![]()
This may be the same exact link, sorry if it is! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2587210
If this doesn't work, you can go to the main DCL Forum and search for Eastern Navigators, the topic New Eastern Navigators is about the 5th or 6th on the list of results. HTH!
Thank you!!! I am going to look on DCL forum.![]()
Me too!!!! I dont even have any kids this time either. I dont like food enough to pay when I am getting it for free (well kinda).....![]()

A quote I found on the main board (I think it is from the Disney web site):
"Each well-appointed cabana is furnished with comfortable seating, a beverage refrigerator, safe, ceiling fan, plush towels and sunscreen. Outside on the patio, luxurious chaise lounge chairs, a freshwater shower, hammock and sailcloth shade are yours to enjoy amid spectacular offshore views. Fresh fruit and snacks are included along with complimentary bottled water and soft drinks. Dedicated beverage service is provided and alcoholic beverage packages are available for purchase onboard at an additional cost.
Additionally, each cabana includes use of snorkeling equipment, floats, sand toys, and one hour of bike rental."
I've also read that they provide a pitcher of some kind of alcoholic drink, drive you in little carts to and from the cabanas and will bring you food from Cookies Too.
Oh man! You want me to get one now!!! I wish they were cheaper or I could get a good deal.![]()
They do look beautiful. And the bell ringing and stuff being brought to you sounds awesome but that is a lot of moneyGuess I will have to walk and get my own lunch and drinks..
Go on the forum and look underr Cabana's worth it and go back a few pages from the last, they have pictures!
It is post #592 Averysmommy was nice enough to post it for us..then when you click on that link, it is post #9.
I loved all the pictures I've seen of the cabana's & would LOVE to get one. I am having a hard time justifying the money. Is it really worth it? Any thoughts???![]()
me too - I LOVE teh idea but its hard to justify $500
I know! I can find a lot of things to do with $500!!! I'll just dream... Hey, maybe I'll win the lottery before the cruise! (I've got to play it first)![]()

Yeah would be nice , but I too don't play either.![]()
It's just that there is so much to do with out paying more. I like to try the other cruise line but boy they nickel and dime you to death.
The only thing we did splurge on once was the spa and it was a good deal on a couples massage, when we were in port. We were in Key West and sitting in the jacuzzi looking out was beautiful. The kids were in the club. It was mine and hubby's first massage. It was the big private room with the deck. Very romantic indeed.
So, disclaimer, I haven't cruised (yet), but this is something I have liked about Disney as I've gone through the planning process. It appears you can have an incredible time whether you want to splurge or not. If you don't splurge, I don't think you would feel like you missed something, but if you do splurge, it seems like it is a "bonus".
Not sure if this makes sense to anyone else, but having the options and knowing that no matter what, it should be a good time is comforting.![]()
You got it.....besides if you try to do it all , you are so worn out you need another vacation after you get off the boat.![]()
There is so much food everywhere, shows every night, movie theater( this one I love since I don't get to see movies I want to see because of the kids and no babysitter or hubby just doesn't want to see them, I go myself) , swimming , just sitting on Deck 4 ( they have nice padded lounge chairs there) reading or just people watching. Characters everywhere...
And you meet some really nice people , be it here from the thread, table mates or just people you seem to run into all the time because the ship is so much smaller then other cruise lines.
Well, home today, oldest dd is sick. Oh well, that means I don't have to go outside in the -18 (feels like -28) and snow. Yay!!!!Happy Friday all!!
