Palo.. Dinner, day 6.. check

BRB :) working in other window.. hah

Oh noes... the website is slowing to a crawl..... who's making reservations like I am in the middle of the night? haha

I was right there with you last night. It was slow especially for excursions!

Guess what:

90 More days until we will be sailing away!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

And a Happy Halloween to all of you!

I made mistake and thought it was midnight tonight for ressies. I was able to get on this morning & get Palo's. Yea:woohoo:

Hi Everyone! I posted a while back, but have been a bit out of the loop since then.

Just a little re-cap to re-introduce myself.

Sailing on this cruise will be:
Me (Amanda), My DH (Jason) - Both 29, but I will be 30 by then :upsidedow
Our new DS (Logan) will be about 8 months old by then

My Big Brother (Rob 36), Sister-in-law (Alison 36), their boys (Bobby 10), (Adam 8), and Matthew (15 months)

My Parents (Carole), (Bob), and younger bro Kevin (23)

We are also booked on the 2012 Fantasy cruise in May with some amazing DIS friends we made on our May 2009 cruise, so we have a lot to be excited about!!!

I'm not sure what port adventures we will be doing because of the little ones. Does anyone know how to handle transportation with babies? Do we bring car seats??? Would there even be a way to install them?

Has anyone booked a room yet for the night before? I heard about the Price Line deal, but haven't tried it again in a while. Anyone get this?

Welcome back!!!! Wow that's alot of males in your familly.......like mine.....:scared1: lol.

Sorry dont know anything about the adventures as I am a first time Disney Cruisers and have not been to these Ports. I am sure someone here will be able to at least guide you. :thumbsup2

Hi there! Our DD will be 9 mths when we sail! We aren't bringing our carseat - I can't imagine lugging it around one of the ports. My guess is there isn't a good way to secure it in the vehicle either. I will probably just through her in my mai tai or other carrier for when we are in the vehicles. I am very anal about carseats at home, but I can't picture any other way of doing it.

I'm thinking that we are going to do non-Disney excursions in both St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

:cool1:Glad you were able to get Palo, I almost did the same thing but then remembered today was 90 days so that meant last night. We absolutely love Palo, not only the food but the great servers and the extras they do to make you feel extra special.

Good news though for the ones of you that cannot book until 75 days out, there are many open spots for Palo dinners, there is not one night that is completely booked. Just be sure you are there at Midnight (EST) to grab what you want!

I also have an infant - Jake will be 10 months old when we sail. And I have an 8-year-old boy as well (Luke)

I know if you are using DCL buses, there are no seat belts so you can't install a car seat. If you are using private transportation, most companies will provide a car seat (some charge). I think we will have ours because we will be buying a seat for my infant and need his car seat for that. We also are renting a car and I don't like to pay $13 per day for a car seat!! I don't think we will use it in ports however, I will just be strapping him to me in our ergo baby.

I was up at the same time!! Booked 2 different spa treatments because I couldn't decide at midnight (their weren't the times available that I thought I could get) and booked Flounders for the little one for every night during the shows.

Although we aren't doing Palo, glad to hear that those of you who wanted it got it!! There did seem to be tons of availability for spa treatments and Flounders for those who can't book yet as well!!

When I booked Palo's this morning they just had dinner reservations for day 1 & 5. They had 1 brunch time on day 2.

Really? I just went on and changed my daughter's dinner from Sunday to Tuesday and it still was showing all nights available, there are some times not available anymore but all nights have availability.:confused3

I just booked for 6 of us with no trouble - looked like all nights were available. Flounders had tons of times available as well. :cool1:

Thank goodness, because I totally forgot to book everything at o'dark thirty this morning.

Sorry, I haven't cruised since 1999. I must have looked at Palo reservations incorrectly. I was just very happy to get a reservation and those were the the only 2 days I could see available. I didn't mean to give misinformation.:confused3

Happy Halloween everyone! Took DD trick or treating tonight; hoping we didn't offend all of our neighbors. We walked from house to house, would stop in front of each one and I'd ask her, "do you want to trick or treat at this house?" Her reply (very loud) each time was "Noooooo!!!!!"

After a few houses, we decided to go back home to hand out candy. If the kids walking up to trick or treat were in scary costumes, she would say no and hold the candy instead of giving it to them. :sad2:

It is so cold here tonight but I love to stand outside and hand out the candy. Keeps the kids out of garden too. I had my winter coat on that is for sure.

Love seeing all the little ones dressed up. My favourite was a toddler dressed up as the red car from the Cars movie. It was homemade and the boy looked like he was sitting in the car it was really cool. I had 122 kids come.

Now I guess we work on Christmas. I know some of you have to get to Thanksgiving first but I can bet you that someone on my street will have their tree in the front window tomorrow. We see this every year.

Very cold here for Halloween as well....I walked in my WInter Coat.

Avery was a Rock and Roll Pirate (so will be her pirate costume for the trip - woo hoo). Spencer was a demented clown. Then Spencer has 4 friends come over and Avery had 1 come over. So it was a busy evening keeping them all together.

My kids just love this holiday. Now lets see how much candy we can get through in about a week or so! - then the rest can get thrown out!

So we got some bookings done this morning.....

We got Palos for Monday night at 7pm.

We got hte Doubloon Excursion on St Thomas.

I got a Spa Treatment on Sunday - Swedish Massage

I booked the Getaway Package for Castaway Cay......has anyone done that before? Is it worth it. I might cancel, not sure yet

Mt DD decided she was only taking things she liked!! She would go to a house and if they were handing out things she doesn't like, she would say "no thanks" and walk away. Totally mortifying. At one house she asked the man to put the bowl lower, returned the candy he gave her and picked out something else! So glad DH was with her and I only heard about this afterwards - I wouldn't be able to show my face at the bus stop again!:rotfl:
