January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

We'll deffinatly have full report about Palo...we went to dinner there on the Wonder on our 2nd cruise (3-night, no Brunch/Tea offered), and now we'll be doing Dinner, Brunch, and Tea. Brunch sounds really nice, but I think if I was planning a frist cruise again, I would be fine with what we did and skipping the Palo dinner (it's nice to see all of the rotational & special menus). There's so much to take in and I just can't believe it's so close (not just the cruise I'm about to go on, but the Jan one is getting pretty close, too!!!).

Hope you and Tiffany have a great time!!!

WE did brunch on our cruise a couple of years ago. It was our one truley alone indulgence. At that time, it was only $10 per person. I don't remember it being super spectacular and at $20 a person, I don't know that I will do it again! We go to brunch at the officer's club here in DC and the view is spectacular, the food pretty good, and we only pay $25 so I just can't see paying for a brunch on the ship where food is included! I guess I am just not that into food!! I think I would be just as happy going to the adults only pool and getting a drink at a table for two for our alone time! Plus $40 will buy at least a couple of mojitos.....:rotfl2:

I will have enough alone time in the cabin.....:rolleyes1 :scared1: Sorry I couldnt resist....hee hee

Lucky you!!! I am already discussing with my kids about "sleeping in" and how Mickey doesn't even start serving breakfast until after 8am!!! PLEASE no one tell my kids that stuff does happen before 8 am!!!

That is the one nice thing about Palo - you have to make Flounder's reservations for the ones under three and you went to so much trouble to get your own reservation. it does feel like a "date". I just think this cruse I will save my $40 and spend my "date" with a drink and my hubby in the adults-only hot tub!!!

Woo hoo! Is anyone else finding themselves more excited about planning the cruise than Christmas?????

The cruise is kind of our Christmas present to us. Of course the girls will get presents, but my 4 yr old has about everything anyway and the baby will be using her stuff.

I am hoping dh does the sleep-in thing as well. I will have to tell him that no one is out and about until 8am. He is one that will be up with the sun.:sunny: as he NEVER sleeps in. That is why I decided that a verandah would be a good idea as this will make him very happy:) and I can sleeeepppp!!:woohoo:

Well mine gets up at 6am and goes to the gym and ralks (run/walk), then comes back and bugs me until I get up....and then I get up crabby........:scared1: but I get over it!!!:lovestruc

I always say Im gonna sleep in when Im on vacation but it never fails I wake up around 4am and Im wide awake :rolleyes1

Just read that the Palo price is going up on the Magic starting with our cruise. In Passporter's newsletter, it says brunch and dinner will go up to $20 per person and high tea will be $10. :confused3

It is still so worth it!!

We did the Palo dinner when we went on the cruise in 2007. The food was amazing......there were so many delicious choices. The service was top notch - if you couldnt decide what to have, they brought 2 meals.

The chocolate dessert is probably one of the best desserts I have had in my life.

And it is nice to get a little bit of adult time. We spend 95% of our time with teh kids - and we wouldnt want it any other way. SO its nice to find 5% for ourselves.

I prefer to sleep in but there is so much to do on the cruise - its hard to sleep.

Last time we were totally exhausted when we got home from teh cruise as we hardly slept

Well PIF yesterday, so now I can really get excited. All of a sudden this thread seems very active! When I booked our plane tickets..I was half tempted to stay an extra day just to see the Dream! Anyone seen the new pictures and/or watching the float out today?

Hi Everyone! I posted a while back, but have been a bit out of the loop since then.

Just a little re-cap to re-introduce myself.

Sailing on this cruise will be:
Me (Amanda), My DH (Jason) - Both 29, but I will be 30 by then :upsidedow
Our new DS (Logan) will be about 8 months old by then

My Big Brother (Rob 36), Sister-in-law (Alison 36), their boys (Bobby 10), (Adam 8), and Matthew (15 months)

My Parents (Carole), (Bob), and younger bro Kevin (23)

We are also booked on the 2012 Fantasy cruise in May with some amazing DIS friends we made on our May 2009 cruise, so we have a lot to be excited about!!!

I'm not sure what port adventures we will be doing because of the little ones. Does anyone know how to handle transportation with babies? Do we bring car seats??? Would there even be a way to install them?

Has anyone booked a room yet for the night before? I heard about the Price Line deal, but haven't tried it again in a while. Anyone get this?

Welcome back Tink113! I've read on the main boards that others have went in taxis without car seats in the various ports. I have never been to any of them, so we are doing Disney excursions and are assuming we will be in buses or vans. We are booked at the Residence Inn the night before on points.

Palo.. Brunch, day 3.. check..
Palo.. Dinner, day 6.. check

BRB :) working in other window.. hah

Oh noes... the website is slowing to a crawl..... who's making reservations like I am in the middle of the night? haha

Is the 8 month in a front or rear facing seat? It has been so long since I had to use a car seat. If it was a rear facing oneI would definitely bring one. This is a hard call. Maybe you should post this on the Cruise Forum and ask what others have done.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!

Hope the kids have a safe night trick or treating.

My dd is going as a cow and my son is going as Mike Meyers from the Halloween movies. He has been watching them all week, and I didn't think he would find this guy but to my surprise there was the costume at Walmart.
