January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

You're missing your countdown ticker too! I wonder what happened to them...

LOL!!! I know!!! I have tried a billion times to do it get all the way to cut and paste then I am lost....told you not too good with computers......:confused3

Yes ME and my DH are finding the pre-boarding options endless and can't really decide whether to stay in the Orlando area Friday night or head over to Port Canaval and stay there the night. Where are you flying out of? We are flying out of Buffalo on Friday. We originally decided to stay in Orlando (at the airport and get picked up by Disney and we do have Disney transport booked but may cancel) and thinking now may head to Port instead Friday night and have a more relaxing morning closer to the ship.

HI there!!! We are flying out of Buffalo 10am Fri SW. My dh wants to stay in PC so that we can relax in the morning and go to the port...it is so easy to drop the car off and get the shuttle...we did it in July with 2 kids....it saves a bunch of money. I get my car at Alamo at the airport....then the next morning drop off at Enterprise as there is no Alamo in PC. They took us to the ship and that was it....on the way back went to the shuttle depot thiingy right outside the port bldg and Budget picked us up and away we went got our car and on our way back to Disney. Easy Peesy!!! I got my car from Alamo for $33.60 and Budget $35.00 in Jan. I got them for that in Feb 2010 and July & Aug 2010 too. Gas there and back was under $10 ea way.

OK, I'm trying to post a photo for the first time...fingers crossed! This is our FE.

Sorry what reservations? what is flounder?

Thanks for the tips! I think a private xfer is the best option. Would love to split a limo though if anyone wants to. ;)

My limo is full :thumbsup2 Once we decided to do this, my in-laws decided to get a ride to the airport from friends and head down with us rather than drive down and park at the port so there will be 8 of us (my in-laws live in Orlando)

Still haven't finalized which company to use....so many options!!!

Thank you!!! It took me 2 1/2 years because I just took one class at a time - once I had my DD, it was too hard to spend more than one night a week away. Can't wait until after Thursday because I can cross that off of the list!!!

Congrats!!! It is tough finishing up with kids, so that deserves an extra bonus!!!:thumbsup2

Sorry what reservations? what is flounder?

Flounders is the nursery for children under 3. Unlike the other programs, space is limited because of care-giver ratios, so you have to reserve time (and you pay for this by the hour).

Other reservations might be for spa treatments, trips, or PALO reservations. I don't care about these nearly as much as Flounders, especially for the shows.

If you have sailed with Disney before, you can make reservations earlier than people who have never sailed. Those of us that are Silver (1-5 previous cruises) can make reservations at 90 days versus 75 days for everyone else.

Oh cool!!! Ok. Well I dont need Flounders....:woohoo: even if kids were with us......trips as in excurtions? So will I/we become silver members after this trip?

Yes - excursions and yes Silver after this trip!!!

We are silver too but don't really need to make any reservations. Well sign the kids up on line. We have yet to Palo's , it just doesn't interest us. :confused3

Off on a field trip with my dd grade 5 class today. We are going to the Royal Ontario Musuem to see the China exibit. I am so excited they have the clay soliders there.

That is me!! They love the beach and I go for them. Like I said I don't even swim but made sure the kids could.

We are all about the Beach in St Maartin - the water is wonderful. We arent a shopping family

We've never had our baggage take too long there. Or it is relative. Luggage at Reagan National can take 45 minutes or more!! I fugured we should be able to get our luggage in about 30-40 mintues and then on our way. We are doing a private limo from the airport. Last time we cruised, we were coming from the resort via a land and sea package. Will NEVER do that again - wait around for Disney trans. We spent lots of time waiting around and didn't end up at the port until 3. We were on the 8th deck - couldn't get into an elevator - and had to lug sleeping baby/stroller/carry-on up the steps. Missed lunch and had just enough time to go to the lifeboat muster and back for dinner. Way too stressful. At least this time we are not waiting for Disney buses - and taking a limo which the kids will love (its a surprise for them!!) That is why I want to get to the port early - so we can actually have lunch and enjoy the sailing away party!

If at all possible - everyone shoudl try and arrive early. We got there around 1030am, had a small wait but then we got on the ship, had lunch, went for a swim..... and then finally made our way to the party. It was a fun way to start the vacation.

Congrats on the MBA......I cant imagine going to school while a Parent. My Mom did it and it was so hard on her.

Now onwards and upwards!
