January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

Oh really? How long did it take? How much did it cost...if you dont mind me asking.

I ordered it off of Etsy and I placed my order two days before she was going on her cruise. She emailed me within minutes asking what design I wanted and pointing me to her Facebook site so I could see more designs. While she was on her cruise, I finally decided what I wanted. Sent her an email and had the picture of the completed FE in my inbox in about a week. Received it in the mail about 3-4 days later. So in all, probably 3 weeks.

I think mine took longer because 1) I didn't know exactly what I wanted and 2) she was on vacation, but I wasn't too worried because I didn't need it until January.

ETA - sorry, forgot to put cost - It was around $25.

I've had good service with Happy Limo (and they have a mousesavers discount). I also have had good experience with Black Diamond, though they are slightly more expensive.

We have Happy Limo booked for our transfers. DH wanted to get a limo but I squashed the idea (and am secretly hoping for an upgrade)! I have only read good things about them on the boards, so I'm hoping all goes well!

has there been anything on the meet once we are onboard? can t remember if there was anything planned as of yet? Still havent thought much about excursions maybe the butterfly farm on St Marten other then that shopping and the beach I suppose. I do plan on booking some alone time at the spa just for me myself and I LOL still have to make final payment so have to wait till then to do so.:goodvibes

I was wondering if we would do a meet too...I know we have plenty of time to decide but was curious if anyone wanted to :confused3:

We are planning on getting to the port early just because we want to get the vaca started! With a 2 year old, we may just run all over the place, but that is ok!

WHo is it?? Want to search Etsy now!!!! Should be going for a walk but quite comfy where I am LOL

Ok I have another question about FE's. We are stay in 2 cabins. Should I make 2 FE's (one for each door) or just one for the 5 of us and leave it on my cabin???

I just went to etsy and searched fish extenders and about 5 pics popped up, so not sure of name yet...lol!!!!

I have some free time this afternoon....does anyone know any stores that may have something like FE? I feel like going out ..... lol

I bought it from StichesNBows, she has quite a few out there and hers are the only ones I found on etsy. And it does look like she has a 30 day waiting period, I must have got in just before that.

I ordered one from her earlier this morning too! She is actually a DIS user too...just uses a different name on here. :)

So how early can you check in? I think I asked but I dont think I got an answer......maybe I ask too many questions and you guys are getting sick of me already....:rotfl:

The terminal does not open the doors until 10:00 I believe. Before that you are standing outside the doors. No need to be any earlier than that.

They do start letting people on the ship at 12:00 if you are lucky 11:45.

About the passports I wouldn't worry. My kids look different from there now too. More grown up. I was skinnier on mine too. So I am opposite of you!

Are weather has been great and warm today too. Really windy though.

The ROM was great! Didn't get to see my clay soliders though they wanted extra to see them and I had 4 other kids in my group with my dd and I couldn't pay for them all. If it was just the two of us I would have taken her in. Did get to see a mummy dude that was impressive.

Just wanted to say, that for those of you planning on getting to port early with kids and worried about the wait, on the main board someone came up with a scavenger hunt for the cruise terminal. I have a copy of it. If interested, PM me and I can email you. I am going to put my SIL to work entertaining my older 2 kids with the scavenger hunt (she is single and an adored aunt who hasn't seen the kids in over a year so she'll love it) I am handing the baby off to Nana and then I am going to just sit kid free and recover from my 5am wake up/flight/airport experience and get ready to cruise:dance3: If only they served "boat drinks" in the terminal!!!!:rotfl:

Scavenger Hunt sounds like a fun idea...I will send you a PM

For you veteran cruisers I have a question. How closely do they examine your passports??? I ask this because I have lost a bunch of weight(75 lbs) and my passport picture is from when I was heavy. I called the passport office and they said if I wanted a new picture I had to get a whole new passport and fork out the $$$ all over again. Wondering if it is really necessary. What do you think? Oh just wanted to add that I have had no issues crossing the border into Buffalo.

I am sure you will be fine - they are trained on how to look for structure in faces so they will recognize you.

75 lbs - that is awesome!!! Congrats

no one is asking too many questions.....I dont remember for sure - I think its 11am. But we board in Groups - so Group 1 will board first etc. To get in the first group, you have to be there pretty early

So I am going to try and lose 16 pounds before the cruise.

Last year I lost 30 pounts but I have gained 21 back due to stress on the job (and in life). so I want to try and lose 16 of them again. The fact is I really need to lose about 50 but 15 will make be happier.

So I will probably bore you with updates but the boards always keep me honest!

Thanks Averysmom!!!! Really it gets busy?? I have only been on 2 other cruises both this year and we basically walked up went straight to the counter (maybe a person in front of us in the line?????). We got there I would say between 1pm & 2pm...we drove from Airport first time, Disney 2nd time...this time we will be just around there somewhere!!! So what is getting early for Group 1? DH will want to be there to start his cruise ASAP!!!
