January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

Can you believe that just TWO WEEKS from today we will be enoying breakfast looking at the OCEAN, sitting in mid-70 degree weather (hopefully) and getting ready for our second full day enjoying the ship!!!:cool1::thumbsup2:banana::dance3:

I am so excited I can't wait....

good morning,
okay, i just found this and i am so pleased! Not that i thought we were going to be the only ones on the ship. We are travelling with our daughter, son-in-law, his mom and 2 granddaughters 2 and 6 1/2. The 6 1/2 yr old is extremely shy and we are hoping she will be able to find a friend to enjoy everything with.

welcome to you and your family!!!!!

So.....

I thought I was very organized putting together summer things last fall for the kids to have for the cruise.....And still have to do tons of shopping.

So here I am buying new clothes for everyone again. Oh why won't there little bodies cooperate with my plans:lmao:

*laugh* You and me both, sister. :P Dexter is 11 months old but is wearing 18 month clothing. So all that 12 month stuff? Nope, no good. I thought Meredith would be in 4T but noooo, she's dropped down to 30% percentile for weight and is still in 3T's. I picked up a lot of cute stuff for her last week. Dexter--some stuff but nothing mickey and they won't match. Oh well. ;) I picked up stuff for me online this weekend...thought I had packed but nooo, i got drawn into a buy 2 get 2 free sale for bras and then the 50 off 150 sale so I ended up with 3 new pants, 10 tops, etc. :P

So.....

So I am still trying to find a suit that fits DS (8) and had to buy new dressy clothes for DS (10months) I hae gone to the mall several times over the past 2 weeks and it is tough. Easter dressy clothes and shorts/t-shirts aren't quite out yet and Christmas dressy clothes are all gone.. AAAAAAUUUUGGGGG

I was just in Wal-Mart and they had very nice dress sets for boys size 4-12 I believe- vest, pants, shirt, and tie for only $20. I didn't really look closely, but from afar they looked very nice and were also very affordable. If you don't get dressed up very often, this didn't seem like a bad investment for the trip.

Welcome! I think I saw you on cruise critic also. I was very disappointed with the number of posts there. This is so much better- Lots of friendly people here:cool1:

Yes, you are right. I was there and then found this forum. Thanks for all the welcomes - appreciated. Spent the afternoon yesterday with our granddaughter doing magnets for our doors.
I also posted a question about embarkation. Seeing as this is our first with Disney - what time does everyone go aboard?

Well, Natalie has an ear infection in her left ear. I'm glad though...it explains why she hasn't been sleeping well or being SO cranky! We'll go for a recheck the day we leave.

Someone was talking about clothes for their little LOs....Natalie is HUGE. She is wearing mostly 18mth clothes, and she is 8 mths old!

How much did she weigh when she was born? Dexter was 10 lbs even. No joke.

Ok Cruise Critic...thanks alot!!! What time is the tour at? Is it when we get off the ship?

Yes, we will be meeting him right when we get off the ship. The tour is first (about 2 - 2 1/2 hrs) then the beach. Then shopping if we want, or you can go back to the boat I believe. It is $35/adult.

Let me know if you'd like to join us. =)

WElcome!! There are a lot of little girls - many 4yrs old in the group. I know my DD4 doesn't care if she plays with a 6 1/2 yr old!

LOL-

I bought three things there yesterday in 2 different sizes and nothing fits him. :lmao:

We are going back today in the hopes that we can get something. The suit he has came from JCPenney's and I could let the pants out to fit, but the jacket won't. Since they don't have ANY sales this weekend (who buys things at Penney's or Kohls not on sale???) just a new jacket there was more than the entire suit (actually TWO SUITS) from Walmart. I just hate going there and after dragging all the kids with me to the outlet mall on Saturday in the hopes of getting something and coming home empty handed and then going by myself to Walmart yesterday, and buying three things that DON'T FIT so I have to head back again today.....it is just incredibly frustrating. In the DC area where we live, every store is always packed so even though it is after Christmas, it is still a chore finding parking and dealing with a crowd and a 20 minute wait to check out.

Between myolite and I we have TONS of baby boy 12 months summer clothes though....too bad we don't have someone in our little group looking for that size:confused3:rolleyes1

And of course, he will have outgrown the 12 month clothes by the time summer hits and he can wear them. THose little kid bodies are just SOOOO unpredictable:woohoo:

She was 10lbs 6 1/2 ozs. AND she was born 6 days before my due date. I had a scheduled c-section as that is what Elizabeth was.

It's funny how a big birthweight changes their sizes!!! My oldest was over 9 pounds, my middle just at 8 lbs and my littlest was only 6lbs 7 ounces. He was about 4 weeks early and the result of an emergency c-section. He also had a really tough time figuring out how to swallow so eating was hard for him from the get-go. He didn't reach his birth weight until he was almost 2 months old. At his 6 month appointment, he weighed what my oldest weighed at his 2 month appointment!!! You get used to big babies and it is such a difference to have one so little.....

But we just got back from his speech therapy/feeding therapy appointment and they gave us tons of helpful advice, so hopefully he will be packing on the pounds soon!!! Right now he is just at 17 pounds and he looks so tiny compared to other babies his age!!! They are all so different, it is really amazing

Thanks Stephanie! I will speak to my dh. The tour is not too long which is what I like.

Hope Natalie feels better!

:scared1:
Oh my gosh. I had Dex in a scheduled c-section about 1 1/2 weeks early. I had a 4th degree tear with Meredith, so they didn't want to risk it again.

We make big babies. :P

He was never a small kid the lady that did the hospital picture ( yes I am that old they did that then) said he looked like he was 4 months. Thanks lady! He had a lot of hair too. Now he is 13 and six feet tall looks like he is 18.He is not going to age well. :lmao:
