January 27th is a 2???

I was just checking wait times in anticipation of an upcoming trip. I noticed easywdw is listing Magic Kingdom as recommended park and today is level 2 for crowds.

Yet 7 dwarves is 130 min! Space Mountain 80! Big Thunder 70 and Haunted mansion 65!!! This is just to name a few.

I'm thinking this is not a typical 2 on a recommended park day? Or is it?

Not sure what the deal is but alot of the current wait times in Magic Kingdom appear to be larger than normal. This is certainly not typical.

Take a look at Epcot (who had morning EMH) and Soarin is only about a 25 minutes (actual) right now and Test Track is about 50 min (actual).

Are any other major MK rides closed at the moment? Is POTC broken? Or did any of the mtns go down and now they have the backlog of FP+ holders to get through the line, which is holding up SB?

Sometimes they reduce the amount of cars/trains that are running during slow times.

Someone on another thread also pointed out that there many be more people in the park than anticipated due to flights that were cancelled yesterday and people potentially extending their trips due to the storm in the Northeast. That's definitely a possibility

POTC looks to be down right now, and I think Splash is down for refurb, right? I wouldn't be surprised if Space had been down earlier as well, based on what its wait times look like.

My parents are at MK right now. Mom said it's the most crowded she's ever seen and we usually go in June. POTC is down right now, but she said there's a LOT of people there and all waits are long.

Some people may also have left earlier for their trips to get out before the bad weather. Touring Plans also has today as a 2. Oddly enough, someone posted at actaul wait time of 12 minues for BTMRR about 20 minutes ago.

I'm at MK today, and I've probably been here 50+ times. It is unusually crowded. They announced over the PA system that they will be open an extra hour tonight, closing at 9pm instead of 8pm. Seems like the crowd level surprised them, too.

We are here now too. and it does seem a bit more crowded than usual. The one thing I have noticed is the large (and obnoxious) Brazilian group are out in full force. That maybe the cause of longer wait times.

I know the Brazilian groups have been causing a lot of problems at the parks. A friend of mine work at MK in security and they are receiving complaints about them at an all time high.

We are here too. It is crazy crowded. We got here Saturday and went to MK at night and Sunday. Crowds were not nearly as bad those days. Has to be due to storms. Got stuck about 40 on POTC today and had to be evacuated. Pooh broke down while we were online. 7DMT was done and just got back up and running.

We are down here now too. Arrived today just after 1 - checked into the resort and headed to AK. Was there by 2 - Safari had a 20 minute wait posted for standby but it was a walk on - well up until you got to the vehicle. We had a very short wait - one was filled in front of us and we were on the next one.

Walked around for a bit and then headed over to DHS. At 4:30 DH and DD went onto Star Tours - they had FP a walk on. Posted standby was 20 minutes they said the standby line was moving much faster than that from what they could see.

Walked onto GMR - posted standby wait was 5 minutes and that was correct basically -we walked through the line and right onto a car (got to do the cowboy scene !)

TSM wasn't pretty. We had FP for it FP line was backed up a bit outside of the ride. Posted wait was 80 minutes. We waited for a bit with FP (it was backed up in the FP area ). The standby line did not look like it was moving much at all.

We'll be in MK tomorrow - it is supposed to be a level 1 so I have high hopes....

I'm here now. My experience:

DHS and AK on 1/26 and 1/27. By far the least crowded days I have ever experienced at either park.

MK Sat and Sun 1/24-1/25, did seem unusually crowded, particularly Sat.

So, the cowboy one really does exist?!? I've heard that before, but we have ridden it many times and always get the gangster one.
