Beth,

was one of the 17,000 fans that rushed the field. I even got to hug several of our players. Go Bucks!!!!!

Oh my gosh!!!! I saw you crazy people rush the field and I had trouble breathing- I cannot be trapped like that. I really had to change the channel...It was freaking me out! Were you scaired? That is really cool that you got to do that though!

Although we have been back for 6 months, we lived in Ohio for the last two years so I have an eighth of an eighth ounce of Buckeye in me. We were born and raised in Michigan, and my husband attended the U of M, but while in Ohio we got so much guff just from being from Michigan, we had to buy a big U of M flag and hang it in front of the house. :lmao: My little 9 year old refused to even eat a Buckeye sundae while we lived in Ohio! Needless to say they did not have a Wolverine Sundae option! ;)

It was a good game and you are so lucky you got to go! How did you get the tickets?????? We have tickets for the game in AnnArbor next year. We may just sell them and go on another Disney cruise LOL!!!

Can't wait to meet you in person!

Beth

Okay, I booked the Reef Club last night. There will be me, DH, MIL, DD6 and DD1.5. It should be fun....

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!! Cheers everyone :wave2:

Binky,

That is wonderful. If you want introduce yourself to us on board and we will go together. Have you heard from Cruising - Are they going to join us?

Beth,

Yes, I was nervous but I pushed that out of my head. It was such an emotional moment (the win and rushing the field) and most people were helping each other. I would do it all over again in a heart beat as running out on the field as I was crying and cheering was a once in a lifetime experience. After all it was the game of the Century. I am a Buckeye Club member (give a scholarship to the school) so I have the right to buy season tickets. Believe it or not this was my first year to buy them and I had no idea we would be as good as we are since we lost most of our great Defense players like AJ Hawk and Bobby Carpenter. Like you I have lived in the other state - we lived in MI for 5 years but got married in Ohio and lived there to. Of all the people in the world besides my husband I most admire Coach Tressel. Please look me up on board as I would love to meet you too. I will wear lots of Ohio State clothes but please come up and say hi and maybe we can hang out together if you would like.

Binky & Speakupjc

We booked the Reef club too! We are myself, DW, DD9, DD5. Kids can't wait to hit the beach!!

We will definitly look for you on-board, the ones of us from Canada won't be hard to miss. By Jan. we will look as white as ghosts!! :rotfl2:

Yeah, and we'll also have huge Popeye forearms from shovelling snow!! :rotfl2:

As I was scraping the frost off the car windows this morning, I kept thinking "We're going on a cruise, we're going on a cruise" :cheer2: Can you tell I'm excited?!?

You two are so funny. We look forward to seeing you on board and hanging out with you and your families.

Dantzler

P.S. I will be the one wearing Ohio State shirts etc so I won't be hard to miss either. I love my Buckeyes. Go Bucks!!!!

Cold and wet here near DC; it's been raining since yesterday morning. Lots of wet leaves to tackle tomorrow!

Anyway, everyone enjoy your turkey today, and leftovers tomorrow.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone! :cool1:

Hey all - I was at WDW yesterday. For much of the day it was very cold and windy (had been down in the low thirties overnight) but when the wind didn't blow and the clouds cleared it was warm enough in the sun. Anyway, riding the monorail from Epcot to the TTC I looked out the window and between some trees along the way I saw SNOW! Yes - I said SNOW. Not much - it barely covered about a 6'x20' patch between some trees, but it was definitely SNOW.

So this morning I saw this on the MSNBC:

Cold Weather Brings Snow To Central Florida
The cold weather across Central Florida brings snow flurries to portions of Marion, Seminole and Volusia counties.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15847649/from/ET/

I live in Volusia County an hour from WDW. Although the county for WDW was not in the article, they must have just missed that patch of snow on the monorail trail - LOL. It's nice to know I have NOT lost my mind! :rotfl2:

Yes, we had SNOW here in sunny Florida!

Anyway, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to those from the US here!

And for those not from the US - Happy DAY! (don't want anyone here feeling left out or ignored....) party:

And last night it actually snowed IN Orlando! - -

"There was hardly a run on snow shovels, but a few flakes of the white stuff hit the ground in Orlando for the first time since 2003, meteorologists said.

The flakes mixed with rain fell Tuesday night in the central Florida hometown of Walt Disney World, National Weather Service meteorologist John Pendergrast said.

'It's just cold enough in the lower levels of the atmosphere' to keep the flakes from melting, he said."

Hmmmm . . sure hope it doesn't snow the day we sail! ROTFL

You guys were as cold there as we were up in the the 'Great White North', it was around 32 - 34F yesterday with a little snow. But we had a howling wind which made it feel like about 0. That was the last of the nice days because when we wake up on Sat. our high temp. is suppose to be -22C or -8F. Enjoy your balmy breezes! :sunny:

Castaway Club members - - There are pics of the current CC member stateroom gifts on this thread. Looks like that tote bag includes lots of useful goodies! I hope the gifts stay the same by the time of our cruise. :goodvibes

that's really nice for the CC members. The mesh bags especially!

Hey do we first time DCL cruisers get a free lanyard or pin maybe???? Anyone?

:3dglasses :beach: :yoda: :darth: :chewy:

Not unless they have changed their policy - LOL. What they do is give you a sales pitch so you will book (buy) another cruise and come back and get those CC gifts next time. :teeth:

I used to give some of my CC stuff to friends and family, but since at this point I do not know when or if I will cruise DCL again (thinking of how much I have spent on 11 cruises!), I might be holding on to these gifts! :smooth:

But there is plenty of nice DCL stuff on the ship for you to BUY! :dance3:

I was out today doing some shopping for a charity that I'm involved with and I saw bathing suits drastically reduced. I thought "Who would buy bathing suits at this time of year?!" and then I remembered "Oh yeah, I would cause I'm going on a cruise!!" :rotfl2:

Hope everyone is having a great day!!
