JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

Hi Kaye!

Congratulations! You are going to have a great time! I think I may have a Palo ressie I am going to cancel...Monday at 9:00. Let me know if you would be interested.

Does anyone know if I do cancel, and she wants it, can Kaye grab it up right away or is there a chance that someone else will? If so, can I keep it in my name and just have David and Kaye show up?

Beth

Beth,

That would be great if this is doable. Our travel agent tells me that we will be guaranteed a Palo reservation since we have the REAS package, but I don't think there is any guarantee on what night we can get it. Monday night would be perfect since it is an at-sea day and we are scheduled for scheduled for the couples massage in the afternoon. I also understand that the romantic turn down service is usually done the night of the Palo reservation. I will follow up with a Private message containing my phone number and email account.

Thanks again. Hopefully this can be worked out.

Beth,

I just had an idea. We booked our cruise through Small World Vacations. Maybe my travel agent knows a way to make the switch. I will send her an email and ask if this can be done.

WDW Mail Order is (407) 363-6200....If you ordered Pal Mickey from WDW, you would be assured of getting a "new in the box" one complete with the little manual and warranty (Keep your receipt and you can go into any WDW shop that sells him to resolve any problem or replace him if necessary).

Well I showed my wife the Pal Mickey and she loves it. Just ordered one from the phone number above. Total $80 with shipping. Could have gotten it cheaper on eBay, but wanted the assurance it would work on our next WDW vacation. He is coming with the Sorcerer outfit, so I guess Kaye (DW) will want to put him in Bermuda shorts and shirt or something like that.

David

BTW, I showed her the thread for this cruise and she loved everyones replies to my original post. I guess if she reads this then the secret is out that I got her a Pal Mickey. Love ya hon!

Hi David!

I got your e-mail...I am so sorry I have not gotten back to you yet but it is an "in and out" weekend!

That is super. We booked ours through them too! Stephanie is my agent. Please let me know what I need to do to help. Just a FYI. That night is Formal night, so if you already have your Tux packed this may be a problem ;)

Beth,

Josephine (Jo) is our agent. Since we have the REAS, she is trying to work through her contact at Disney to get us a reservation. She is hoping to hear back from them on Monday. If she gets a reservation, then I will let you know and you can just go ahead and cancel your reservation online. If she can't do it, then maybe we can coordinate our efforts where you cancel online and I see if I can catch it and book it. Worse case scenario, we have to book it on boarding day.

Just curious, I know Monday is formal night, but if we get a Palo reservation (ressie?) on Monday, then wouldn't we still do formal, but just at Palo instead of our dining rotation?

David

Hi David

Yes, you'd still wear formal. We bring the Tux and ball gowns and since it is the only chance we ever have to wear the stuff, you'll see us in formal every night...even with an eyepatch and bandana :rotfl2:

Super...I will keep it till I hear from you. I can even keep it in my name if worse comes to worse and you can just slip me the $20.00 on the ship if they are not able to switch it -or if you cannot get a ressie. You'd just have to check in under my name on that date..just don't charge a 1974 bottle of wine to our room (LOL)

It is SO much easier to have it before you board than to rush to stand in line when you first get on the ship. That's when you need to be sitting by the (adult) pool with a 9" plate of shrimp and a Pina Colada!

Beth

Hi all,
Just wanted to formally introduce us as we will be joining you all on this trip. We are:
Suzanne
David
Grace 5yr
Dominic 3yr
This is our first Disney Cruise and 1st cruise w/ kids. I am the Disney addict in our house. The kids have already been there twice. We are in 7660 ( I think) I have to look at the ressie. I am just starting to research this excursion stuff. Looking for calm things with the little ones like a beach day. Usually I am obsessed with the planning, but I guess the Holidays are distracting me right now.
Anyway, we are getting excited. I'll start monitoring and contributing more to this thread. Got lots to catch up on and I don't even think I want to know what this WPSADI stuff is all about.
Oh yes, we do have a Pal Mickey and I guess he's coming along!

Suzct - there are about 10-12 of us bringing our Pal Mickeys, so the more the merrier. Plenty of photo ops for the Pals on ship. Yeah - we won't be difficult to spot. And it seems many of us are obsessive planners.

I plan to bring a small blow up pool for a Pal Mickeys photo op, so look for us at one of the people pools. (we can't have the little guys getting wet so they 'need' their own pool). I think it will hold about 7 comfortably. So do come say hi whenever you see us!

OH - taftdb - the invitation goes for your family's Pal Mickey too!

WELCOME Suzct and family! I added you to the cruiser list in the first post of this thread and on our Pal Mickey Gathering at Sea website.

If I am keeping track properly it looks like we have 11 Pals sailing with us. Nine are definite and two were "maybe."

GSCM_DisneyScout - Did you buy your Pal yet? I thought you did but can't find the post. If you have, or have not but definitely will, let me know and I'll change your listing.

sap1227 - You are the other "maybe" because said you were considering not packing him. Any decision yet? Let me know so I can update your listing. He can easily be toted on a belt clip or lanyard and would hate to miss the "pool party" photo op with the other Pals. :teeth:

LOL - If too many Pals show up you could have them do their photos in two different groups. Would that work? Otherwise I guess it would look like a teenage pool party with "Pals gone wild!" :rotfl2:

I just put "Deck 7" and a question mark on your listing. There is no stateroom 7660. Let me know after you check your reservation and I'll update the list. Thanks!

It's so nice to have you with us and we are SO happy that you are bringing your Pal! :thumbsup2

No, I have not yet extended an invitation to a Pal Mickey to come live with us. ;)

I'm trying to get DH to sit down with me and discuss the purchases for the kids' Christmas presents. (That's one problem with 4 children, it's that much harder to get out of ear shot of all of them. :rotfl: Not that we really worry about Elijah spilling the beans at this point.)

I also keep trying to decide between having him arrive in time for Christmas or whether we should pick him up in person in January. Then there's also having him arrive in time for my youngest daughter's 4th birthday on January 22nd.

I think I might be able to sit down with DH today and I'll get back to you.

Kim

Hi everyone!

I am sure you all know this already, but I thought I'd post it anyway since we tried it and it is just wonderful!

Last year I brought a new, white pillowcase that I wrote on with Sharpee markers...I put my daughters name and the date of our cruise as well as "Sweet Dreams".

The day we boarded the ship, I dropped the pillow case as well as my new pack of colorful sharpee markers at the service desk. They asked me who I wanted to sign it...Princesses or the whole gang. I chose the whole gang. At the end of the cruise I went back to pick it up and all the characters signed the pillowcase in different colors and they did a really nice job, too! (Plus I got all my markers back!)

I also dropped off 2 mats and 3 scrapbook pages off for signing as well. I did not think my sons (9,11) would want the pillow cases) ;)
The cruise photos look GREAT in the mats!

It was a really nice surprise for my daughter when I told here it was a gift from Mickey! She sleeps on it every night! The hello kitty pillowcase has been retired!

My mother in law suggested that I stitch over the marker with the same colored floss so it will never fade. I will get around to that one day!

Well, sweet dreams all!

Beth

DH says there WILL be a Pal Mickey with our group on the cruise. I believe we are planning to pick him up in person the night before the cruise. :thumbsup2 DH also said Pal Mickey would be MINE!

Of course, I'm not supposed to know yet. It's a Christmas present from my parents. :rolleyes1

Kim

Congratulations, Kim! Your soon-to-be-adopted Pal is on the list! :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1:

Congratulations, Kim! And they are SUCH good children! They don't need diaper changes and they are very well behaved! :lmao:
