My boys were pirates last Halloween so it worked out well for our cruise this past January - I'll have to take a look & see if they still fit...not sure what they are going to be this year yet...is everyone planning on dressing for pirate night? adults too?

Pumba's Dad, on the dining plan, do you know if the cost is the same for kids & adults? Also, we are coming in late on Friday, doing Epcot on Saturday and driving to the port on Sunday, so we need a hotel for 2 nights, but would only need dining for 1 day - do you know if we can do this or is the dining based on how many nights you're staying? (Sorry for all the questions - have never done dining before when we have stayed on property & the last few years have stayed off property) Can't decide what to do this trip yet...been looking into the options for a family of 5 on property)

Samily... don't know about dressing up for pirate night! We are thinking of it but we'll see! Today they told me they wanted to all be Minnie's! ok .. now we'll see what they say a month from now.. lol

I believe you purchase the dining plan, you have to get it for the length of stay. You may want to check with Disney on that.

I missed the mark over the weekend.. but we are now down to less than 5 months till we leave!! Boy oh boy and school starts in a week and before we know it it will be time!!!

I love to see the months on the countdown go down. My kids start school tomorrow, then all the holidays, then the cruise!!!! Even better, look at my October cruise countdown!!! It's at just about a month!!

I don't know what I just did to my previous post. I was trying to add my ticker and I ended up erasing my message, but the ticker is there! Anyway, I was wondering how the fish exchange will work. Do we exchange with a certain family, or do we just exchange at random? I know it is still a few months away, but I am trying to purchase a few things as I see them and it would help to know. Just wondering-

so that gives us 9 girls and 4 boys.. I counted them out cause it's easier to see what boy things I'll need... so the count so far isn't too bad.. but given expenses and all maybe we want to pick one day among us assigned or what not? just an idea?

Ganandem - on the exchange, each cabin should bring gifts to give at least once to each of the other cabins on the list. So if we have 7 cabins on the list, you will be receiving gifts at least 6 times!

I like Tammy's idea to assign each cabin a certain day to pass out their gifts-that way we ensure everyone will get something everyday. What do you guys think? Does anyone have a preference for a particular day? I will probably do gifts more than one day, but those extras can be surprises!

I think Texasgal74 mentioned she was moving awhile back...is she still out there or should she be taken off the list?... I can't remember

Does anyone else have their cabin # yet?

It is the four of us: ME, DH, and 6 yr old DD twins...

We have already started getting present ideas !

I really wish we would have the room numbers already and the ability to book our excursions/reservations now...I am such a planner

We are still in, I need to get on the fish extender though! School starting here always throws me into a funk...

We still haven't booked airfare b/c of the rates. I'm just sure they will go down slightly in the next month or two....

However I did book my ADR's for the three days were spending after the cruise today!

Have a great Labor Day! This is the weekend I got married eons ago.. so it's kind of fun to think back.. our anniversary is on the 5th!

I like the idea of assigning each cabin a date to pass out their goodies. Our cabin is GTY so we are still waiting to find out where we will be. It does help to know the # of boys/girls though. Now I just need to convince my husband that we need that extra suitcase for all of the little goodies on the way down and souveniors on the way home!

Let's see each person gets a suitcase so in my family that would be 5! Wow I think we'll have enough room.. each kid can have a good size one right?! It's been a while since I've flown what should I be prepared for?

We are lucky to have a direct flight now we'll worry about snow though! We leave the day before at around 11:30 so enough time to reschedule or de-ice if we need too!

Coming from upstate also, we decided not to wait until cruise day to fly either. We are going down on Thursday and spending 2 nights at Downtown Disney and 1 night at the port. We have a plane change in Atlanta on the way down, so there shouldn't be a problem with snow there! We have a great direct flight on the way home that doesn't leave until 6:05pm and gets into SYR around 8:40. Our kids do have their own suitcases, but they are small enough for them to handle, so not much room for souveneirs.
They do each bring a backpack as carry on though. My son can fill a whole suitcase at the LEGO store by using his Xmas and birthday money. Whatever the limit is on check in luggage I'm sure we will meet it. This will also be our first time not using Magical Express or a TownCar. We had to get a minivan for the first 3 days. I graduated from an Orlando college in '94, so we kind of know our way around. Things change so quickly around there! This is a trip of many firsts, so I hope all goes well. Can't believe school start this week. The time will go so quickly!

Today I got the "My Cruise Travel Kit" in the mail... anyone else get theirs??? It listed the dates when I can pre book Palo and excursions, and gave several booklets with info in them... Yeah!!!! I'm so excited!
