January 23, 2010 Sailing with Mickey on the Magic! **The Crusin' DISers**

You guys wanna see snow??? Come visit me in Barrie! We are north of Toronto and have quite a bit, but it's nothing compared to winter in 2007 when I went to Scotland. When I got back from a trip with a girlfriend, the snow along the streets (plowed by the snow plow) was about 10 feet hight (at least)! We ahven't had a snow day at all this year.

Cool, I love snow

Just don't seal them if you have to travel through an airport because TSA might make you open them. I expect security to be really tight and we have to fly through Newark Airport...I will be assembling my FE's in my cabin. Oh well, I'd rather have a safe flight.

I was thinking a carry on bag. I wish I waited to assemble in my cabin. Now I have to deal with them all falling out.

I am going to put them in several zip seal lock bags and pray for the best. we were working on FE all day yesterday coming up with ideas and such. Here is the thing I wanted to just do carry on lol but seriously hoped just because our plane lands in mco at 1220 the day of the cruise...good times. anyways i figured that way if our luggage gets lost no biggy but i am afraid to bring them as carry ons in case lovely security in STL which is annoying at best cuz they will prob throw everythign away including my nail clippers lol!

magnets would rock...some of you are soooo crafty i swear!!!

I am on facebook too but its easier to go under my email its monarch_kmb@yahoo.com

kelly michelle burns STL area but there are like 300 so try the email! take care!

Two weeks from right now...dinner in Cocoa Beach. :thumbsup2 Haven't decided where....heck, I don't even remember what hotel we're staying at! :lmao: Told you, no planning on my part, I'm along for the ride.

Mario Lopez was here at the station today...what a cutie-pie :cutie: He posed for lots of pictures and was sweet as could be. I didn't get a photo as I look a little tired and bedraggled today...but I got a hug

Who is coming in the night before? We are and I was thinking of dinner at Fishlips as it's at (or near) the port and you can see the boats. The food sounds awesome if you like seafood. They have a website. We are staying at the Radisson.

What is everyone else doing?

Ok....we're staying at the Country Inn and Suites and thinking of just bringing in some food and eating poolside so we can do lots of catch up gabbing (Publix fried chicken is my vote). Although Cheri and I might have to hang out at the airport if Monica can't get off work early...so perhaps dinner there :confused3 Ah....decisions, decisions..... I think we need a conference call this weekend.

My sister ate at Fishlips two nights in a row before our cruise last September, so I think that makes it a :thumbsup2:thumbsup2from her!

We are coming in to Orlando at 11:40 a.m. on the 22nd. We are staying in Cocoa Beach at Luna Sea Motel. Fishlips was one of the restaurants I had on my list to check out!:)

I have to check the website out again.

14 more days until we are in Florida!!!!!

We are staying at Country Inn & Suites. Probably Fishlips for dinner. CIS has a free shuttle to restaurants.

Just printed out the name tags (that was a bit challenging). And my first tshirt graphic. Now, if I could just find where I put the iron on transfer paper that I bought specifically for these projects, that would be sweet!

Door signs...help! I tried printing out the Minnie Mouse ears form the DISBOARD and cut out a perfect 7.5" circle and they don't fit! I can't figure out how to adjust anything to make it work. Anyone else out there doing door ears? Can anyone give me suggestions.

I'm headed to bed now and gone all day tomorrow for a work retreat. It will be Sunday afternoon before I can get back in here. Maybe by then someone will have figured it out.

Two weeks from now we'll be eating in Port Canaveral. Yippee!!!

We get in at 12:50 on the 22nd and are staying at the Holiday Inn at Cocoa Beach. We do plan on stopping at a store on the way to the hotel. No sure plans on what to do for dinner. I am sure we will do something (since it’s my birthday) but nothing big. There is also a beach souvenir store across from our hotel we like so I am sure we will check it out. Other than that no plans until we board the ship.

We come in on 1/21 in the am but we are staying at the Poly. DH and DD have never stayed at a monorail resort before...and DD is finally tall enough for Space Mountain, yay!...so we'll see you on the ship.

Tink, we are staying at the Radisson as are Brooke and Lauren's family...Maybe we can connect there and get the girls together...

Definitely! We are planning on getting in around 5 or so, which means it will probably be more 6ish! :lmao:

And yay! I FINALLY learned to multi-quote!!

Two weeks from tonight you might find me in Cove Cafe, hoping to have some of these with a nice mocha latte.

Grateful not onboard tonight....
Hope it warms up in the next two weeks..........

current temps...
Orlando 32 (tomorrow high of 49)
Key West 51 (tomorrow high of 53)
Cozumel 61 (tomorrow high of 64)
Grand Cayman 75 (tomorrow high of 75?)
Castaway Cay - Actually Abacos - 54 (tomorrow high of 61)

Layers is the key.

The 90 year old mother of a good friend of mine said "your vacation is as good as your wardrobe."

Happy packing!

Yikes! The weather better improve. I need warmth.

I gave my cabin-mates a list of things I haven't done yet (after the equivelant of 5 weeks on DCL):

Rainforest room and checking out the showers in the ladies locker room.
Character breakfast
Sail-away & Pirate party from DECK 9 (just observed from deck 10)
Atrium parties (Golden Mickeys 'after party' and final night "Till We Meet Again")
CC - bike ride and picture with Captain Jack
And still have some of the "Art of Entertaining" events to check out --napkin/towel folding for example. (Have done a couple of the food related ones...discovered that I WILL eat raw tuna.)

And just thought of another, haven't seen a 3D movie on board either!

.

Here's a picture my friend took yesterday from Fishlips of the Magic heading out. Here's hoping WE don't need to dress like this!
