Hi all, I'm so looking forward to our cruise. We booked this last December but then it appeared like we might have to cancel. I'm so happy we are able to go! We were on the Magic in Jan of 2005 and it was the best vacation ever. We've done other budget cruises but Disney does everything better. In 2005, my DD's were 4 and 1. For this cruise they will be 6 & 9. What Fun! Please add us to the list. We would love to do the Fish Extenders and Magnetic Mickey. (sorry Jen - I can't PM yet).

Which itinerary did you do in 2005?

We did the Eastern Carb in Jan 2005. I think we prefer the stops on the Western Carb. But we would go anywhere on a Disney cruise.

I guess everyone must either be cruising or at DisneyWorld/Land.
Hope the fuel does not go any higher. We may have to cancel some cruises if they put that fuel cost back on.

May is almost over so time is flying we will be cruising before you know it.

I wish I was somewhere Disney related! We had our garage sale last weekend so I was busy getting ready for that, yuck! I still feel dirty from being in my attic all week. On the up side we did really well. I should have been a good girl and save the $ for our cruise but I really, really wanted a new TV for my bedroom. We had a huge old one on the wall over a dresser. It made it so tight in there. So now I get to watch DH wrestle with hanging the new one up, poor guy. But it's nice not to have to scoot around that dresser and TV all the time.

BTW-Barb the Magnet Diva is organizing a door magnet exchange. Here are the details (I will also add the info to the second post.):

Everyone on the list agrees to make or buy a magnet for each cabin/family on the list. You deliver your gift of a magnet to each cabin door on the list sometime during the cruise. (Ten cabins on the list...you bring 10 magnets to give away. That includes one for yourself!) It is more fun if everyone doesn't deliver their magnet on the first night. During the week, it's great to find a new one on your door.

Sometimes door magnets have been reported to "fall off and walk away." So some people have been adding room numbers or family names on the magnet somewhere to help them stay on the right door. The giver can put their DIS name on the magnets they give or not. No real rules except to have fun and share the MAGIC!!

Magnet ideas are on several recurring threads on the DIS DCL forum. The possibilities are endless. There are even some very nice and talented DISers who help make custom magnets for the computer and/or not real creative types.

We've gotten DISNEY calendar magnets, ones with our ports listed, special pirate night magnets, some make special birthday greetings, anniversaries, etc. Sometimes it's a magnet from where the giver lives. They do not have to be only Disney themes. Whatever is fun for you to make and give. Then everyone goes home with great memory souvenirs and you end up with beautifully decorated fridges at home!! (This helps perk you up when reality returns.)

Wow, it's been quiet here - I thought I would have to catch up on pages and pages of posts! Everyone must be busy busy! It seems like we have had some end of school year type thing almost every day for the past couple of weeks! My youngest has officially finished his first year of preschool and the older 2 get out in 2 more weeks.

I guess now that school is out everyone is heading for DisneyWorld. We still have 7 and a half months to go, but am looking forward to the cruise. I guess most people will wait till about 3 months before they start looking for us. So we have to keep talking on the thread once in a while to be where they can find us. Somehow that sounds confusing

I am looking forward to some warm weather and sunshine this summer. It seems we have had A LOT of rain so far...haven't seen the sun in days!

We're headed to the World at the end of July...it was a "hospital promise" to DD. As it's getting closer, the idea of driving from NJ and the dealing with the heat and crowds is starting to loose it's appeal....but, it's still Disney. I think I'll check on airfare now...

really hot here in Central FL. Today was 96 hot hot hot We went to Port Orleans for lunch and sat around the pool and watched the kiddies. Cooled us off.
I have been collecting things for the FE's also each time we go to Dollar store or Walmarts should have a good collection by January.

96 degrees! I'm so jealous - we're lucky if it breaks 70 around here lately!

As far as plans in the works, there is a fish extender exchange, magnet exchange, traveling Mickey magnet and plans for a dis meet. I think that's it...check out the first page - I *think* Jenn has been adding everything there...

Yup, just check the 2nd post, all the info is there. I figured it would be easy for everyone to find it all there instead of sifting through pages of posts. There are a few magnet exchanges, fish extenders and a meet for the first day of the cruise. There is also a link to the website (Nothing specal, I just had some time on my hands.) And like I said before, if you have any ideas or want to be in charge of something just let me know and I'll put it in the 2nd post for you. It's our first DCL cruise so I'll take any advice y'all have!

BTW-I checked my mail right before we left for the shore and my FE was there!!! It is sooo cute, I can't stand it...as soon as we get back I'll take a pic and post it.

You guys I never thought I'd be saying this but we just cancelled our Disney cruise and rebooked on Royal Carribean.

It was a painful decision (I was actually out voted!!) but it's hard to argue with saving almost half the cost of the DCL cruise especially in this economy.

I think I'm most sad about not getting to meet all of you - I think you have a great group of people going. Have fun everyone!!
