Seems like some of you maybe know some TAs? I have a question.... Can a TA see rooms that don't show up on the website? I usually handle all our trips myself but everyone really wants to go back to Pop and I can't get any availability to show up. ☹ I don't like to limit the ability to make changes myself but willing to try it if it might me the rooms I need!

No, they see the same availability as the website. The difference is the TA will continue to look for you after you book to make the changes you want. Saves time basically.

I just read a post on the Feb 2020 thread that got me thinking...I wonder how many people booked for this window did so in anticipation of a discount...meaning they'd cancel after a certain point if nothing hits. Like the trip can't happen without one. I know I heard TAs on some podcasts talking about this when fall 2019 discounts failed to hit in their normal window. I don't know if there's as much of a risk of this occurring with the Marathon week dates since you're not getting those race fees back, but people looking at MLK getaways may be more inclined to drop off if nothing comes out and the budget is really tight. Just a thought triggered by someone else's post.

I wish they'd go on and cancel then so I can get the rooms I need! LOL I don't WANT to pay rack rate, but I will at a value if I can book the darn rooms!

I wonder if your dates coincide with some large group event where they've booked the majority of certain resorts. I know for our stay, we looked at CSR, but they have been booked solid for months. All I can think is that there's some kind of convention going on, because by the following week, there's plenty of availability.

I wonder if all the people with booked rooms they and waiting for a discount realize that if Disney has lots of booked rooms, they don't NEED to offer a discount. Could actually be shooting yourself in the foot. LOL

I actually have a room booked that they never discount so I know I won’t toy with their system, trying to not book up where I actually want to stay so maybe it makes them think it needs more of a discount to fill rooms (wishful thinking lol). Thankfully where I want to stay still shows all room categories available so I think I’m doing good and not worried.

In my experience these discounts usually just go till April, I usually go in May too and have to wait until around February or so for those discounts.

Ok yes I figured I'd have to wait until the next round. I was toying with the end of April but I think I'll wait a week or 2.

From the Disney site, it’s not highlighted but when you choose hotel preference it allows you to choose this option.

I have not seen them. I wonder if we have to call? It seems like they are slowly rolling out being able to do stuff online though.
