JANUARY 2016 Car (and Minivan) Rental Code/Rates Thread

Checked Alamo also with no luck. All discount codes I find are only available until 12/31/15. Could someone kindly confirm the Alamo codes and whether they are "Coupon Code" "Contract ID" or "Product Code". A bit confused which code goes where. Thanks.

I used the Costco website and my price dropped $80 today.... it was unbelievably high to begin with though!

Unfortunately, I have been checking almost daily and the rates seem to still be high. I know last year I booked my rental car in Aug and kept checking and on Sept 2 I saw the biggest price drop for Jan 2015 trip. This year the same thing seemed to have happened. Sept 3 was the lowest rate I have seen - I typically book Dollar (as it is consistently the cheapest) and signed up for Express membership so we go straight to the garage.

Keep trying city specials and AAA discounts but if you see a price you can live with book it and keep checking because unless you use the Pay Now feature you can book and cancel as needed if the price drops.

Good luck all.

I'm looking for January and the best I've found is with my USAA discount on an intermediate of $220 with taxes for a week. Anyone have new codes?

Just booked Jan 14 to Jan 18 with alamo standard for 148 at mco. Hoping for some better 2016 coupons soon!

Following!

I'm shocked, I just found $65 a day for a Kia Rio at National. Yowza. Hoping to rent from Disney so I'm limited to Alamo and National, unless there is something close by worth getting an Uber to. Seems like the ones I've priced so far are good until I reach the fees pages. Really $100 in fees on a $200 rental? Ugh.

Marathon weekend prices are looking good right now (8-11) Can get a compact/midsize for $100 total at Alamo or Dollar.

Priceline price sounds great. I'm not sure how it works. I need a free additional driver (spouse). I know Enterprise and Budget allow a spouse as an extra driver free. Can you request that for a minivan? Also can you request picking up on site at Orlando airport? If, so, that would be great.

Also is there a cancellation fee? Sorry for all of the questions but it sounds like a great deal and I want to make sure it works for us.

Thanks in advance to all of you!

I had a phenomenal $245 (incl. taxes!) rate for a minivan and now my group of 7 has decided we should go with two cars instead. I am looking high and low, and the best mid-sized rate I could come up with so far is $194 and I need two of them! Anyone know if the $30 VISA coupon will be extended into 2016?

Haven't heard about the coupon yet. Who did you have your reservation through? Sounds like a great rate!

How does one go about using a Costco code and Alamo code for the same rental? Is that possible?

With Priceline you name your own price and need to pay instantly if your offer is accepted. You do not get to choose the company either. They use all reputable companies some are at the airport and some you need to take a shuttle. It is a gamble on which company you will get. I needed a mini van and I wanted a price lower than 700 for the week so I plugged in what I was comfortable paying and placed a bid for 20.00 a day. You'll need to enter your credit card and if you offer is accepted they charge you right then and there so make sure if you use them you are paying a rate you feel good about. I am not sure about cancellation but I think once you book you can't cancel. It was my first time trying Priceline name your own price and I got lucky with Budget!

I know it may be early, but I am beginning to get started lining up a car rental from MCO for January 2016.

We usually rent a minivan and was wondering if anyone has found anything terrific yet?

DIS people are always so helpful! :)

Alamo
Vegas Brazil LLc code 7016427

Best rate we've been able to find..and I've spent HOURS code searching.
It is a valid travel agency and there is no issues using the code.

Hello All, I just checked Dollar Rental for Jan 22 - Feb 2 and and it seemed to have dropped a bit - still way more than it was in Sept but less than it has been the past few weeks so if you just started looking you may want to check today. Good luck.
