Last year, I booked what I wanted to book.. Praying that a discount would come out because we booked deluxe and it was just too expensive. But I booked it anyway.. A discount came out and within 20 minutes of it being announced I had gotten the discount for my already booked trip. This year we booked moderate feeling As if we are going too early in APRIL that there won't b a discount.

Pardon me if I've missed it, but what would be the best forum topic to find out when the next AP discounts are released? I assume it may be this one, this is a great topic/discussion, but maybe I should be following another?

I've done a search and can't find any better, plus I've researched the historical release dates and know last year was 9/30, year before was 8/16, and the prior two years were mid and late Oct.

Just like everybody I'm getting excited and want to be ready, so any advice on the best way to know would be appreciated!

We have gone the last 5 Januarys in a row and have never had to wait this long for the discount. I am really hoping that it is coming out soon because I am getting anxious.... I am really hoping for FD. I will never forget a few years ago when we got free dining and a gift card. Too good to be true, but Disney is doing well. One can hope!

Boo!! That happend to me about a month ago. I got an email from Disney Destinations and I was so excited and opened it and it was for the end of 2012. Boo!

Then, no joke, about an hour later I get another email from Disney Destinations. I was convinced it was for January...it was the exact same email.

When I try to price a package online it says: "Sorry, we're unable to book vacation packages at this time. Please try again later."
And on the front page they are promoting some Magic Your Way Package offers where you get 6 nights at All-star hotels, 7 days and QSDP prices starting at $99 pr. person pr day!? I think this is new? It is not possible to book right now!?
There are some selected dates starting January 2 !!!

Can someone please post the link to the US disney reservation page? Whenever I try to change the country it keeps me on Canada. I had to use a link someone posted last year also not sure why.

Just got off the phone. No Disney visa Rewards, AP or free dining. Also had no pins attached to name. She said try November!!!

I'm getting real close to finding another vacation destination. International guest discounts, check. Military discounts, check. U.S. guests, not on their radar i guess. If I have to wait until November, I'll be practically packing my bags. To go where we will see.

I know how u feel. I really want to take my daughter to Disney but unfortunately I can't afford regular prices. I can go on a 2 week cruise in january for almost half the cost of 10 days in disney( this does exclude meals, but so does the cruise) I love Disney but....

Yep, that's what I'm gonna have to do. I can't wait any longer. We need a 5 person room, so our options are a little more limited, and I can't afford deluxe. We're going with or without the discount, but a discount would've been REALLY nice. We'll just do less table service!

I will say we've never gone to Disney without a discount. We are currently booked for January at POFQ. We are going whether they come out with a discount or not. On the one hand, a discount isn't a given. And Disney does keep threatening us that they are going to do away with the discounts. But what I don't like is that they seem to be stringing us along for their benefit. They obviously aren't as full as they would like so they've extended the current promotion for just a bit longer (at least I think that's the case). I love Disney. Don't get me wrong. But I don't like how they appear to be playing games. They certainly don't have to come out with an announcement telling us there will be no discounts. We've just come to expect them. What will make me mad is if they come out with something for January in mid-November. That may help line their pockets, but it's not fair to those who have to travel, get time off of work, etc.
